there is NO REASON to time-gate crests or other forms gear upgrading. NONE. it’s coming to the point that it’s clear that you don’t give a crap about your players. because we have been asking you to stop time-gating Valor/Crests/whatever currency is next for YEARS and you still keep doing the same thing. it’s none of your business how fast we gear up. it’s stupid that you keep doing the same thing EVERY SEASON. then we ask you to stop doing it, and you claim you’re gonna stop doing it then you do it again. you’re honestly getting on our nerves. i’m sure there’s some Blizzard soy boys that will take your side but the majority of players i talk to hate the time-gating and think it should be done away with completely for crests. if you want to keep raids a once per week thing, fine. but stop having seasonal caps on crests. it’s beyond annoying now. it’s gotten to the point where you’re literally just trying to insult or piss us off. we’ve been asking for it for at least 4 years because i see several posts from 2020. and yet you keep doing the same thing and ignoring your player base. i thought with microsoft taking over things would be better. but honestly you’ve gotten worse in a lot of ways. to quote someone from 2022 ‘yes i’m going to say it time-gating is bad…it does not matter what the reason is.it is just horrible game design…pvper’s for example are time-gated by conquest cap…but hey there is effectively a cap on how much progress pvp players can make no matter how much time we they want to put in the game. pve players are less time-gated since they can infinitely spam mythic+ to just keep getting gear but people should not be basically forced to hoard valor until they get there BIS pieces since there only going to slow themselves down by upgrading gear that is not BIS…at the end of the day all this time gating only exists because blizzard is greedy and wants to keep u subbed longer and they want to police other peoples fun.’ so STOP TIME-GATING. it’s beyond time. it was time 2 expansions ago. heck, it never should have happened to begin with.
Yeah, making it impossible for anyone who isn’t farming ten hours a day to keep up with gear isn’t a reason at all or anything.

Of course it’s not but certain players have always made it their business to let Blizzard know and other players know that’s how they wish the game to be and screw everybody else.
why do you need to “keep up”? play at your pace and quit worrying about people gearing faster than you. sounds like you’re just jealous of others who put more time in.

how bout you worry about you, and i’ll worry about me. if you don’t want to play more, don’t. but i choose to because i want to. why should i suffer because you only have 2 hours to play? others clearly agree with me. and pepsi is terrible for your health, you should stop drinking it, and expecially diet anything, enjoy your aspartame.
Oh “play at my own pace” is entirely what I do.
But when you can grind infinitely, then this affects the community expectations in general. Were you not here for MoP, when it was being called “World of Dailycraft” because people felt like they were falling irrevocably behind their -normal raiding- raid groups because they couldn’t log on every day and finish 20 daily quests?
because needing to be +30 ilvl on week 2 isn’t fun. Your chances of being invited to a group is in competition with everyone else.
Idk gearing is probably easier in wow right now than it has ever been. Heck, you can mythic track raid piece from doing 1-3 lfr bosses each week.
I’m not upset at a smoother steady gear progression.
Side note: raids have always been a weekly lockout and people don’t make posts about. “Waaaaa! Why are raids time gated? Why can’t I just run raid 20 times in a week and farm my tier and bis raid loot?!?!”
what character are you having this crest cap issue on? it looks like you have 1 upgradeable piece and are nowhere near the cap.
meh i’m a tank and pug keys hard the first 2 weeks and the crest cap does feel a bit stupid.
It’s the last season…no need to cap crests.

Well technically that’s exactly what their business is. If they judge that they make more money by making people sub an extra month or two, it’s their decision. And you get to decide between playing it or not playing it.
BTW I would also like to have no crest cap and just gear out in 1 week then move on to something else. But I’m not gonna pretend the game design is not their business that’s just silly XD
