Stop the boosts, its out of control

Im so tired of seeing 50+k health boosters in arena. I know the company is desperate to sell tokens to milk every single last penny from people, but if you made a game that was good people would just play it and keep playing it.

This is nothing but pay to win anymore. Very different game than what it once was.
Also let alts all have the same renown as your highest renown character. Stop punishing the players for your lack of creativity.

A lot of players just want to log in and hop in to end game. Arena, Bgs, Rbgs, Dungeons, Raids.

a lot of players like professions but that is dead.

But the boosting has to go. Its flooded with websites in LFG. And not one single thing is done about it.

It’s advertised in and outside of the game. There is a ton of RMT going on too.

In before the “WoW isn’t pay-to-win” crowd shows up.

This post is confusing. First you go off on boosting.

But then you ask for an easier path.

And then say

Which has never been a thing, your alts have always had to trudge through leveling and dungeons to get gear to do end game.

Unless you buy a boost.

It will never stop. It has always been a thing.

theyve arrived thread is dead now

Everyone likes a dead thread.

Have you checked the LFG for H SoD? 75% or more are all boost adverts. It’s getting a little out of hand imo.

It’s worse than that, I can’t pull up my browser without seeing ads for WoW boosting from several sites.

It’s a complicated problem for Blizzard. Paying customers are the ones providing the services for other paying customers. AOTC runs have been sold since it became a thing in MoP, everyone wanted those mounts.

What it has become is completely against the spirit of the game, which was finding a guild consisting of players with the same goals helping each other. Now it’s nothing but solo players wanting an easy path, in both versions of the game.

Which paying customers should Blizzard ban? The seller, the buyer, or both? Seriously, what would be the best way to stop this?

Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how to stop it?

There is little Blizzard can do to stop it with the current rated PvP rules. Boosts have been going on since TBC added rated PvP weapons but back then it was more low key. Even without the token it would continue, it would just be done thru discord or three party web sites with a credit card instead of a token.

Ban the sellers. Do it like multi boxing, give a warning to stop within two weeks then drop the hammer on them if they don’t stop. Harsh but effective.

Okay, what about when the sellers move to third party websites?

How do you determine who a seller is?

Isn’t the ultimate goal to stop this?

So we can use the in game tool as intended?

Your right, it may never completely stop. But if we can get it out of LFG, it can be used as intended, to find other players with the same goal, and accomplish the goal without paying through the nose just to play the game.

Well sure, but how do you do it?

The point in alluding to is that you can’t.

The only thing that might slow it down is if they take the token out of the shop. Given that token sales are now a considerable part of revenue that is not likely to happen.

They should pay more attention to the LFG system though and perhaps give the boosters their own channel.

When things are discussed over Discord, and Paypal is used (like what’s going on now), how do you proceed exactly? Players are by-passing the middleman (the token) and instead of paying Blizzard RL money, simply using real cash to buy carries now. In 1 month you could make $3,500 or more by doing it. Blizzard is fully aware of this by the way, but they don’t have a solution for it, so the cash-carries, boosts, Curve achievs, etc. will continue.

You dangle a carrot that many in your game can’t achieve due to many reasons why (home life, too busy, don’t raid, casual, can’t get into a raiding guild, etc. etc.) they’ll find another way to get it by any means necessary if they want it. That’s where we’re at now.

A - Multiboxing still isn’t against the rules
B - They would just move off line and you would never see it advertised in game.

I start new accounts just so I can boost more characters. I have six boosted characters across 2 b.nets

Sorry I didn’t specifically state key duplicate software, you are correct. But the boomie packs ravaging the land scape seem to be gone.

If people are paying that much for boosting to obtain pixels in a game, it speaks of other problems.

Like I said, will it ever completely stop? Probably not, but can Blizzard give bans to those advertising in LFG to stop it there? Yes, they can and should.

If they wanted to do that they would, but they’re ok with carries for gold, which it just so happens you can buy right from blizzard.
