Blizzard has this tradition where their pride gets in the way Everytime the player base rebels against their terrible decision-making, and they come up with malicious compliance to the wants of the player base. The examples are endless in this game, but hilarious in how truly spiteful blizz is willing to be.
Players complain about bag space. Constantly. So blizz relents finally and delivers cheap, large bags. But then has 140 types of anima, endless keys and key fragments, 40+ separate but required collectible mats to do various things, on top of 30+ different items that need to be delivered with quests etc.
Blizzard wants to remove flying, players lose their mind. We get pathfinder. People walk away. Now we get AS CLOSE TO FLYING AS YOU CAN GET without actually being flying. Because blizz can not just make flying more fun, no, then they don’t win, it has to have a spiteful twist.
Players ask for more legendaries for classes besides warrior/rogue. Blizz delivers 140 legendaries for everybody. But they are RNG. Players are mad they are RNG. Blizz delivers player made legendaries, but that are super expensive.
The list goes on and on and on, there’s examples that exist since cats.
Why?
Stop being spiteful. Grow a pair. Either say no outright, or put in what players want. Enough with this malicious compliance. It’s so aggravating for no reason.

Please don’t discuss that rancid, vile, system. Lest they get ideas and bring it back because “the art team thinks their work gets ignored whenever players are able to fly over it”.
I’d also mention the soar nerf because “people will get to go from pet battle to pet battle faster, and will be able to go from raids and dungeons faster than everyone else”. As if.
More like “Fun Detected”…NERF!!!

I know it will never happen, but how great would it be for someone from the Art Dept to pop up on the forums after that BS excuse was given and be like,
“Um, no.” “We never said anything like that.” " If you’re going to screw over the player base, at least be honest about why you’re doing it and stop lying to them".
That person would be insta fired, which is why it won’t ever happen, but how amazing would it be if one of them said “F-it” and posted a response like that!!!

That would probably goof up their career prospects as well which affects them beyond just being fired. I’d appreciate it! But I’d rather they not and continue to find employment lol.

I dont know. It seems like Riot would likely hire someone who publicly gave Blizzard the “Finger” by openly telling the world that the excuse being used was a lie, in a heartbeat!

the hatred for flying and then this new ripped off flying is quite lame i just wanna fly with my mounts not gw2 flying but they can’t even do that without not letting it happen for a yr in or longer probably who knows they won’t even release the date cause they already know people are gonna get mad.

Weird take to keep defending the crappy 2006 flying system over the new one that testers seem to love.
I guess some people are super averse to change no matter how much better the new is.
