Is there something that can be done in game, or a mod that will prevent all my action bars from losing all the spells the way I set them, when changing specializations? It’s going to be annoying with druid and 4 specs.
i think dominos will let you redo the way the action bars auto swap pages depending on stance/form.
i dont think theyre changing on spec though, i think you mean the car/bear/tree/human stances? same as with rogue stealth (you get a difference action bar page for that)
control up/down arrow should let you cycle through them manually if they do swap on you.
you might also find it helpful to put cat actions on the cat page, and bear action on the bear page - anything you want common you can double up on if needed. unless you never play those forms.
Your best bet (assuming you don’t change your spell layout frequently) is to just bite the bullet and set up all 4 specs, once. Then you never have to deal with this issue again.
You could also replace your standard actionbars with a replacement that doesn’t repurpose the default bars - ButtonForge is the go to here. The default bars stay as-is (and could be hidden using another addon like Bartender or similar), and the ButtonForge buttons don’t change between specs. You can drag and drop to them just like the regular bars, and they can be keybound as well (though IIRC you keybind them within the addon, rather than the default UI).
No, I literally mean that my spells that I assign to my action bars are different for each spec. Changing stances only changes Action bar 1, changing specs changes all of them.
Right, and like Adreaver said you only need to set them up once.
You could potentially use https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/action-bar-profiles to copy the setup from one spec to another.
