Seriously, mages, warlocks, druids, shamans, stop rolling on spirit gear, check any guide, spirit is the bottom of the barrel stat for you it’s not an upgrade, and you screw over your priests when you roll on it. I can’t count how many times I’ve lost spirit gear to other classes, and they actually nerf themselves switching out spirit gear and losing intellect and even plus dmg gear for it…please educate yourself on your class and leave this gear for your priest!

It’s not an upgrade for end game raiding but it’s the best stat for leveling for every class.
Not to mention that almost every piece of gear that drops in sub-50 dungeons has spirit on it, do you really think they’re all just for you?

Priests are really the only class that benefit from spirit as a primary stat. They have synergistic talents that work off it, even gain +spellpower from 25% of spirit (making it REALLY REALLY GOOD). Other classes (even warriors and rogues) can benefit from it, but not as much.
The reality is that no one gets gear they need, everyone rolls need on everything and vanilla (as well as classic) is a greedy sprawl for gear. And posting it on a forum is doubly bad because you’ll get the conga line of warriors saying they need spirit for moving from mob to mob while leveling, paladins who take spirit cloth over mp5, warlocks who take spirit even though they have life tap and the least synergy with spirit, etc etc.
I get my quests done while leveling in a dungeon and get the hell out knowing full well that a druid rolled need on and instantly wore a cloth helmet with pure shadow damage on it and they had no regrets.
TLDR - People won’t stop doing things because they read your thread, stop telling people what to do.

What about Warriors that roll on spirit cloth? In multiple different runs with multiple different groups?
Oh wait, Warriors can roll on w/e they want, they are the tank.
Also Mages get more benefit from spirit cloth than everyone else EXCEPT a priest or resto/balance druid.

Ok for the ones saying spirit gear is on every piece mostly… think beyond the box… I"m talking like a 30 spirit chest with 8 intel, and your a mage, you roll on it and win and equip it, you replace your 10 intel chest with 20 dmg on it… I"m not saying if it has like 8 spirit or 2nd highest spirit pass it to priest, but if it’s obviously a super high item spirit you shouldn’t be rolling on it. I am at the level where I’m farming for bis gear, so I’m educating people cuz yes they are still rolling on spirit gear that is bis for me, and not even close to bis for them in BRD. This is a huge issue, so maybe people need to rethink how they roll, or get a bad rep, and needs to be addressed on the forums, just saying.

yep, back in the day aka vanilla 2004. I never seen anyone roll on that ever!!! Never!!!
the mentality of the game was different then though. It was called respect for each class. you rolled on what you needed not sub fu88ing needed.
No one should be rolling on sub stats PERIOD!!! It’s a crap mentality that all these new gamers have, sorry but the shoe does not always fit for you to roll on everything. Get out of a classic game if you don’t know any better.

Well duh I’m not gonna replace a spell damage chest with spirit. But you didnt give that context.
If I were given the choice between a 20 intel chest vs a 30 spirit 10 intel chest, well guess who just got 30 more spirit.

If people are leveling and want to reduce downtime, then by all means, spirit is fair game.

Kinda…it was still there to be honest. Everyone rolled on everything, it was kinda horrible. And raids were even worse.
Ok well i’m adding it, yes I’ve seen mages do this quite a few times, nerfing themselves and screwing me over out of a huge upgrade

Even with restore druids spirit is still about 4th or 5th on their list, where it’s 2nd on ours even 1st on some guides, and everyone saying you need spirit to help you level, it’s a selfish mentality it’s like me rolling on a fire damage item, or frost damage item, and I say it gives me a 2 intel upgrade and I win it over the mage… it’s called loot etiquette, I always pass to the class it benefits the most in the group.

Spirit is a “good” stat for every class but you do not substitute Your main stat out for spirit.

never happened not once…for me or the players I was with ever never and I was there from launch. Again it was a respect to all classes back in the day. I never once seen it happen. We would roll on main stats ONLY that was all. and ya know what I might make a post about it, because Im sure the old timers like me will remember.
