Well obviously ground mounts can’t fly… I’m asking about flying mounts that can’t skyride, only static fly.

I was under the impression that there were going to be a number of them. But it seems like they changed their minds and made most or all flying mounts do dragoriding.
Found the answer on a different post…
There are some, but they behave like ground mounts while you have skyriding active. You can’t just put them on your bars to avoid the cast time of the swap.

They should just delete static flying.
Why even have two different styles of flying in the same game? It’s stupid.
It probably only still exists because there are a handful of quests that don’t work without static flying for whatever reason.

They kept it mainly for accessibility reasons.

Cause then it wouldn’t make sense to lock static flight behind path finder.
I have been using old flying ever since i got Pathfinder and this doesn’t happen to me at all, i have swapped it a handful of times to complete one of the race WQ things, but swapped it back right away.
It would be nice if they’d just make regular flying faster.
Then I could use a flight mode that doesn’t result in CONSTANT DISCONNECTS.

Not sure if anyone else experiences this but every time I log in my skyriding bar changes. It forgets the actions I’ve put in there and keeps putting back dragknflight zone only abilities.

I have yet to experience this even once, so… let’s run through the normal stuff:
- Do you have any addons installed?
- Have you checked that it isn’t a UI glitch and you have your style of flying (indicated by the buff showcasing which kind of flying you use) set correctly?
- When does this happen - randomly or when you have crashed, updated something, reloaded your UI, anything like that; when does this occur?
That doesn’t work, if you are on skyflight and have mount that can only steady fly, it will be a ground mount until you switch.
- Addons off or on, does not matter.
- Not a UI glitch, happens on every character set to steady flight.
- Happens every time you leave an DUNGEON instance. my guess is they are trying to force you to skyfly in instances and forget to honor your preferences when you get out.

No. Steady flying is about accessibility. So no it should not be deleted. People are dumb for thinking this post is about being all or nothing. Literally our flight choice should stick and not revert to some dumb overpowered pony show skyriding system.

Actually the point of the reply is that Blizzard is phasing out the steady flying. That’s why default flight always goes back to dynamic flying. Steady flying is going to go the way of the flip phone. It will be phased out over the next few years to where there is no steady flight left. My point, and everyone else that has pointed this out, are saying no it is not a bug that it reverts back to dynamic flight, that is working as intended.
