No, I’m still blaming mages. It takes like, ten seconds to make someone a portal if they’re nearby. Blizzard removing conveniences doesn’t give people an excuse to be rude to others.

Sadly, things aren’t going to improve until the design philosophy at Blizzard changes, and all I see is the devs doubling down on their desire to control player behavior.

I seriously doubt that he enjoys it. I think its just something he said to make us feel like we should feel like he’s telling us we should feel.
Then wonders why we take that condescending tone as an insult to our intelligence.

He spoke like he respected players. Many since have not.

I wasn’t saying his PR was lip service. I believe he was genuine about trying to work with the playerbase. Though at times he did get rather caustic and earned the hatred slung at him. Blizzard was the one who saw an easy scapegoat and let people believe he had more power than he did.

Overall, his time with Blizzard was a good time for the playerbase.

This is what I was thinking earlier. All Mages should come together and agree to take AT LEAST 10k gold for a portal. Make people angry and tell them to go complain to Blizzard for taking away the portals. This is the only way things will go back to normal. A massive anger.

You know, I have seen people in THIS expac spamming trade for a portal somewhere and getting ignored. So I doubt most mages will care enough to portal anyone now any more than they already don’t.

You obviously missed the mage expressing his concerns back at about post 2200 that players would harass and spew abusive language at him if he was legitimately too busy to party (in a queue or raid group) and portal them. That this happened multiple times and would last for hours. Rude goes both ways. Let’s not do this to mages or others.

For now. Until they try to take flying away all together again.

They keep delaying it for as long as possible. It’s already going to take a couple months longer to get flying in BfA compared to Legion.

This will likely end up as another ‘compromise’.

Sad thing is deep down I dont really think Im even exaggerating anymore with the crap theyve pulled since i started playing this game.

One of the only beneficial changes theyve made, and I really like it, is breaking the professions up by expansion.
Though now Im thinking it wasnt really for our benefit at all, but just to make it so a new player would be able to ignore old content entirely and just jump right into leveling up BfA professions.

Nobody would suggest it was reasonable to remove mounts and expect druids to carry players on their backs, but apparently mages should be happy to drop what they’re doing and make portals.

I wouldn’t even play mage if there weren’t player portals.

I WAITED FOUR HOURS TO GET MY LIKES AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME TODAY.
USED TWO AND NOW IM BEING TOLD IVE USED ALL MY LIKES AND HAVE TO WAIT FOR TWO HOURS.

I used maybe three likes after my reset first time around today after waiting for a couple hours.
then it took what I had left and told me I had four hours to wait.
So I waited. And I commented above saying that watch…when it resets they’ll take them again and I’ll have to wait.
Sure enough, used TWO likes and now Im being told I have to wait TWO more hours before I have anymore

Really?
This just happens to be coincedence?

Is it a thing that has changed just now, or is it capped to a certain number of likes per thread? In 2 hours when you get your likes back, are you able to go to other posts and see if you only get 2?

My comment was in the context of the discussion they were having. About requiring a 20k gold tip from others in order to get a port anywhere and refusing to port anyone else. It’s your time and if you don’t want to give ports out, just don’t. But don’t blame Blizzard if you’re using this situation as an excuse to be rude or unreasonable to others.

I really doubt those portals being gone will suddenly cause a huge increase in the amount of people begging for portals, anyway. Especially to the point where you’re claiming you’ll be mobbed by whispers for them.
