Stop putting healers several hundred MMR below group into shuffle

I don’t care if it adds queue time, it’s not fun playing with people clearly in a different skill bracket.

1800 RSS healers are more skilled than most 2100 DPS

Cool story. I had a priest at 1450 in our 1800 lobby. This wasn’t placement games as he had about 300 games played. He died in the opener to a solo mm hunter. That shouldn’t happen to any healer, it was 100% him not understanding positioning and cooldown trading.

A 2100 healer can absolutely play with 2300 dps. A 1400s healer is vastly different than 1800 dps. 1400s of any spec means you don’t understand the basics of pvp yet.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood. You’re only 1800 and complaining about other people’s skill gaps…

Believe it or not these differences are closer than you think

They really aren’t. You should cruise to 1800s as healer by just understanding arena positioning and tracking CDs.

This is a healer I’ve got at 1800 as disc just to show I understand both perspectives. If you’re in the 1400s as any spec after hundreds of games it’s because you lack understanding of mechanics and positioning.

Sure but it’s also a 400 point comparison to a 200 one

A 2100 healer is gonna hang in a 2500 lobby just as much as a 1400 one in an 1800 lobby

Doesn’t change the accuracy of my statement

Hard disagree.

1400s of any spec means you lack fundamental understanding.

The difference between 2100 and 2400 is really execution, comfort in key binds, and deeper matchup awareness/what to do quickly while under pressure.

A 2100 player can review their game and tell you what they did wrong in the moment. A 1400 player cannot.

It’s really funny that you think this

Most people at 2.1 are just better at pressing their dps buttons

Almost like better execution and comfort in their muscle memory and keybinds. Weird.

Yeah they still suck and have no idea how to play arena, your point?

I agree that 1400 is a know nothing noob.

But that statement about key binds comfort above 2.1k is not exactly true. I have been a “clicker” my entire WoW journey, since Classic, and I’ve been gladiator with several toons (not this one, plus healing sucks this season) probably like 35 times since then, without ever using keybinds. So well… at least that is not a 100% requirement.

The play style gap between 1450 to 1850 is larger than say 1850 and 2250.

The former is due to lack of basic understanding, the latter is execution of said u see standing in the moment and quickly.

The overarching point is Blizzard should T be putting healers at 1450 into a 1800 lobby because things like dying in the opener happen because they lack even the basics like CD tracking or a good UI.

And I bet you’ve logged over 10,000 hours playing pvp the way you do. You have a comfort level with your binds or lack of.

It’s not, either all lobbies should be more similar cr or none of them

I’d bet a large sum of money the 2100 healer has infinitely better UI, knowledge, and binds than the 1400 when comparing between the two gaps.

And, yes, they should not be placing healers several hundred MMR out inside a lobby. It’s a bandaid fix to reduce queue times and it’s not fun for the healers or the dps. They need to address why healing ss isn’t fun instead of bandaid fixes to begin with.

You’re moving the goalpoasts

Compared to the rest of the players in the lobby the gap is much smaller than you think

I’m really not. The knowledge gap between 1400 and 1700 player is larger than 1900 and 2200 player.

In either instance, blizzard should not be forcing healers far outside the MMR to play that lobby because they refuse to address actual healer issues in shuffle.
