I’m trying to farm Silvermoon City rep (tabard) by running mechanar. But the dungeon is scaling up with me. Is there a way to turn this off?

It shouldn’t be scaling above level 35 unless you’re in Chromie Time.

I wouldn’t recommend trying to solo any instances until you are level 50-60. 70 if you wanna farm SL instances.
Fun fact. Bfa open world content scales to level 60 but BfA instances are capped at level 50. It’s the only expac with this differential.
All non-CT of course.
Probably because of the nature of Azerite gear. It had very high stamina + primary stat and relied on borrowed power that isn’t inherent to other gear. Notice they haven’t tied major power to gear since then.
If you’re not in chromie time, you should be able to solo earlier dungeons at +10 levels.
That great gear is no longer available. Heroic and mythic dungeons cap at 50, while normal dungeons cap at 60 and can be way overtuned. Benthic gear is still ilvl 66, which is HORRIBLE in today’s scaling. Gotta make those level 10’s work to prove they deserve to level up!
I’m not in chromie time. I was, but I turned it off to use looking for dungeon finder as chromie wanted to force me into only one dungeon.
Mechanar mobs are level 53-55. I’m 54.
Make sure Chromie Time is turned off completely, not set to another expansion, and do not use group finder. Relog and walk in the door.
