According to Blizz, troll dungeons are phase 2.
for all the ones saying you wont to play a raid how it was you never get it that way since when ever we start a xpack we are starting on the final talents you will never know how it was like since there to much info to new addons / mods to the game to help / make thing easyer for you to pefect ur toons
a lot of you are not like me for me i use to be one of the rep grind / achiv people this time around im lazy playing with alts if i played a disk priest first time around she is now shadow my main was this mage and now i got every class but mage so changes are fun for me
Ill bet those who cleared T11 heroic first week has never entered troll dungeons. So its a phase only for catchup.
Theres a happy medium to be had. Post nerf was too easy, but this is too difficult for 90% of a player base that’s decreased over 75% since wotlk heroic LC kills. Let’s not even mention the huge fumble with the leggy staff (no reward for doing heroics/higher drops, and 10m getting absolutely boned)
I use to think that and I share the sentiment, but the numbers tell a very different story.
The inclusion of two five-man heroic dungeons does not constitute a real phase. Historically, every phase in Classic has introduced at least one new raid. Since the launch of TBC, a new arena season has been introduced with each phase, except for phase 5 in WoTLK.
Your “troll phase” was excatly that a blizz trolling the players base. It’s really sad to see that so many people were actually fell for it.
Phase 2 is Firelands!!!
Troll dungeons should have been released six weeks after P1’s launch as a middle ground. The gear that drops in these dungeons is intermediate, positioned between heroic dungeons and normal raids, and is not considered “catch-up” gear.
The absence of rewards for heroic content ensures that players don’t feel compelled to engage in it. (I personally don’t agree with this; I feel that if you’re going to tackle more challenging content, it should be rewarded accordingly).
If the setup for a 10-person team was identical to that of a 25-person guild, guilds would likely opt to run three 10-person teams rather than one 25-person team.
What are you talking about it’s completed on day 1 what do you mean impossible and if you can’t kill it on heroic then kill it on normal.
The game isn’t designed for them, though; it’s tailored for players who were 13/13 after three months. Moreover, this content is 15 years old—it’s not new by any stretch. The strategies have all been determined, and guides are available, with hundreds of videos on the interwebs.
You may want to look into Phase 2 of Classic WoW.
Phase 2 of classic was BWL Which was a raid!!!
Oh and look anther quote from the devs during the interview that proves that ZA/ZG was not a phase.
- "Zul Aman and Zul Gurub will most likely come in a mid-patch update between launch and Firelands, it won’t be a full phase".
Call ahead if you do so they can set a pallet aside for you.
I ended up getting 72 of them.
No, that was Phase 3. Phase 2 had world bosses and the Honor System.
Just to help you understand how you’re wrong, Phase 2 (World bosses/Honor System) was released on November 12, 2019, and Phase 3 (BWL) was released on February 12, 2020.
Just wanted to point out that GDKP culture is pretty much dead from how difficult the cata raids are. Very few 13/13 runs out there for whales to buy all the gear. It’s a double edged sword, difficulty kills gdkp, and lowers the pop. In wrath we saw a gigantic portion of the population lean on gdkps to the point where runs possibly outnumbered guilds?
So you can make the argument that the high pop situation in wrath was bad for the game and the low pop situation inn cata is also bad.
My point being, if you make things easier, another huge flaw in the community rears its head again.
world bosses is still raid content
So, you’re tripling down on this, huh?
World bosses aren’t raids.
Try harder next time.
World bosses drop raid-quality gear and require a raid group to defeat, thus they are considered raids. Even though they may consist of only one boss, it’s still raid content. Malygos and Onyxia are examples of single-boss raids, similar to world bosses.
Headless Horseman drops iLvl 365 gear this year, which is just shy of Heroic Raid gear. Is he a raid?
So, this isn’t true. There are plenty of videos on YouTube/Google that showcase players either soloing a world boss, or a small group defeating it.
Furthermore, you used to be able to form a raid group and run through Deadmines with it, does that make it a raid? No.
Are LBRS/UBRS raids, or are they dungeons? You’d take more than 5 players, but they’re not considered raids, either.
This is a good effort on your part, but there’s one key difference between EoE and Onyxia and world bosses - the former are instanced.
No it doesnt !!!
Well they’re instanced in SoD
Well that’s a small percentage of players majority of players are doing world bosses in raid groups!!
