Stop making Anduin the main character

Thank you.

Fake news.

I am the last hope of the Horde away from filthy alliance appeasement.

you are an alliance spy. You want to keep the Horde races as humans in monster costumes. You are not true Horde. Give your blood elf avatar to me and switch to something more fitting to you. Like a human paladin.

Zandalar was destroyed. By the alliance. They are now nothing but a footnote in history. And the Horde council is a vassal of Stormwind controled by Anduin. They are traitor filth who needs to die.

OH trust me I intend to post alot of Alliance bias in the upcoming days. Nobody will be spared my wrath.

All powerful demi gods who had sent the Horde packing at one point in history. What leaders have the Horde in comparison? Worthless trash mouth breathers who don’t care for the wellbeing of the Horde. The Horde died in patch 8.2.5 and was replaced with an alliance installed puppet government.

Jaina is a hypocrite. She was the one leading the attack on Zandalar and destroyed the cradle of troll civilisation for all eternity.

What do you think of Christie Golden?

Really, I was hoping that Sylvanas would find a way to store Nathanos’ soul in Anduin, so we could have a more interesting Anduin, and the scarlet pamphlet “Banshee Lover” claims would make more sense. You could still have Anduin’s personality slipping in and out, trying to urge everyone to be patient, and empathetic, and then Nathanos disorienting everyone with calls to put them down for the Dark Lady.

He scares me because I don’t want a story that paints the Light as being overly zealous. He just got back, so really should be cooling his heels. Let someone who has actually been around take control. I’m not holding out hope, though. lol

She’s the leader of the Forsaken and warchief of the Horde. Who else should have taken her place? Besides, no one knew she was a psychopath at that time. It’s not Anduin’s fault Blizz chose to make everyone deaf, dumb and blind to her actions in Legion. Hell, if they had bothered to take any of that into account, she might never have been able to attack Teldrassil because no one would have trusted her.

And yet another instance of Sylvanas doing horrible things and no one finding out. I get you need a suspension of disbelief for stories, movies, etc…, but Blizz has a very bad habit of running roughshod over it.

This thread got interesting,

Oi vey.

Tolkien himself admitted he regretted an earlier attitude of his, and he wanted everyone to enjoy his work. Maybe someone convinced him of the marketing potential - either way, he expressed regret, and opened the door for heroics of other Humans that might not have been told.

So from the last we heard from him, he was for expanding the Tolkien lore in a more diverse way to represent IRL folks.

I think the Silmarillion or one of his expanded notes has a tale of a non western Human who aided the west.

Yeah, here, around the 2 minute mark and a few minutes after. Bor and his sons and their tribe were Easterlings who were loyal to the Elves and fell on their side.

Yo, you are coming on WAY too strong there, Erevien!! Besides, I’m too dark skinned for you. And frankly, you couldn’t handle me.

Erevien’s post was removed, so looks like he got banned again.

Oh yeah, not one of my posts in this thread was on-topic. Um, yeah, Anduin is the moral mouthpiece of the devs. Blizzard agrees with everything Anduin says or does. He is too good. Yeah, that sucks.

The Alliance had known she was a psychopath for years. Varian more or less declared war on the Horde back in WotLK due to what he’d seen in Undercity. Anduin should’ve known that trying to upend Forsaken society in the goal of achieving peace between humans and Forsaken would piss off Sylvanas. His naivete is breathtaking.

Psychopath or not, she was never to the point anyone thought she would mow her own people down in front of a large audience. To even continue with the story you have to ignore it because no one within the Horde raised a peep about it.

I agree whole heartedly. I’d also say the same of the one who thought these storylines should have gone forward.

But where was the nuke?

Agreed. I think with recent revelations we can now say that lore decision making at that time was haphazard at best.

Yeah, this. He’s a good character. But making him a central protagonist in what should be an ensemble cast story isn’t the best.

Agreed. Having the central protagonist be a reactionary character is not the best. It is the main reason why Toriyama reverted back to Goku as the main protagonist during the Buu saga. Gohan even after the Cell arc is still a reactionary character. It becomes hard to write for a character that only reacts to conflict instead of seeking it out for whatever reason. Active characters usually get the plot rolling. It is why the heroes journey is the most common story structure. That being said you can have a character who triggers the story by simply reacting to change in their life but then become active when something doesn’t seem right. E.g. Sergeant Angel in Hot Fuzz. He is forced to move to the “perfect village” but he is still very much an active character.

Although having an active character can also be a bad thing… See dragon ball super for that one :stuck_out_tongue:

You didn’t get the memo. Its Anduin and Thralulcraft. And they don’t care about opinions or they’d not have butchered everything with how they played Sylvanas out. xD
