Requests like player housing, last names, in game marriage, posing like NPCs, etc have all been ignored… it took us forever to finally get some new customization. Better add another raid tier/curate more content around the MDI.
It’s so insulting how behind WoW, the biggest RPG, is in roleplaying compared to other RPGs.

I’d be willing to bet games like Conan Exiles has a much larger roleplayer population than this game ever dreamed of.
The RP community has enough drama without adding things like in game marriage. The rest of that stuff seems fine, but really the main problem with the game’s RP right now is the actual plotline/story of the game.
The game development theory of “we have cool things we want to show, we just need to get characters from here to there” without any real thought for character interaction (or even attempt to make character reactions make sense) - as well as the odd focus on ‘equality’ between factions instead of a proper back and forth (which ironically makes any faction interaction seem one sided in one faction’s favor constantly) make things pretty rough for any sort of RP to continue without outright ignoring it all and doing one’s own thing.
Moonshire is a well known Draenei and Worgen Female SUPERPOWER that will BLOT OUT THE SUN with our TRP3 profiles, MWUHAHAHAH!
Seriously though… non garbage races could be cool tho. Or some more lore expansions. I mean the players are like 30x more diverse than whatever they give us. Imagine if Anduin was on a bloodthirsty cooking spree to add Tauren beefburgers and 100 year dried aged forsaken burgers to his menu, while Tyrande ripped off her arm sleeves and started Punching saurfang in the face. Magni Bronzebeard would scream, and on his FLYING MOTORCYCLE pick up hagrid and 1000 ales and go punch DEATHWING IN DA FACE!
Horde meanwhile, would have a giant war campaign about a hyper intelligent black gorillas to teach him the art of eating rocks so he could conquer the world, while their whole entire storyline would focus about being Alliance Sympathsizers and driving Genn Graymane to suicide through sheer incompetence. I think that’d make a good mmo story.

Player housing has been one of the most requested additions to the game since WoW’s launch. The only reason you dont see more of it is cause many people who want it has just given up.

the world feels domesticated enough with flying and heirlooms making anything but current content feel irrelevant
Whomst is to say you cannot do any of these things in a RP server today?
I think RP servers should have more unique different features and privileges than a normal server.
But to act as if you are being ignored is just random and annoying.
Blizz steals stuff all the time from other MMOs, i dont get why they are so behind on things these days.
Not me, they are already filled with non-roleplayers and players there to troll roleplayers, the last thing they need is another wave of these players.

Minimal to nonexistant, to be honest. The best defense is the /ignore function thus far.
So you’re saying the average player who is the leader of their order hall, has defeated many world ending threats and so much more should be homeless?? Where does that even make sense?
Little to none, the same as every other server. Moderation in this day and age seems to happen only when spam reports happen.
They’re not homeless.
They have their very own garrisons.
And inns! Lots of inns. It’s tradition for adventurers to stay in inns!

Blizzard responds to the RP community fairly often. CRZ in major cities? The RP community lost their minds and Blizz responded in under 24 hours. Tournament of Ages had problems involving phasing? Blizz responded in under 12 hours.
Just because they aren’t implementing things that are, frankly, unnecessary doesn’t mean they’re ignoring us. Last names? Covered by TRP and unnecessary. Player housing? Something Blizzard doesn’t wanna implement. In game marriage? Why? TRP allows you to proclaim your marriage no fuss no muss.
And yes, a raid tier is more important. I’m a member of the RP community too. And I find this to be completely insane.
A raid tier actually isn’t more important. The majority of players do not raid or care about raiding.
