BC was a huge success my man, it was also Pathfinder free, and nobody that I remember complained that they could no longer slow mount around on the ground.
If you complained about flying in BC then it must have been just you and boy is that telling.
a game designed by different designers is a massive success - can i save this to quote how BC ends up being an even bigger success then classic? cause clearly only Flight is the difference
It is “obedience” to patiently do scutwork over and over and over again even though it’s not fun, and wasn’t even designed to be entertaining.
Who are you “agreeing” with? Devs could offer flight free on reaching max level if they wanted to rebuild the playerbase they destroyed with removal and restriction of flight.
The real question is why are you paying with your time and money each month to do “scutwork” over and over? I’d find something else to spend my time and money on.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuously paying for a product that you don’t like so that the rest of us can enjoy the game as it is intended. So, thank you for the fake outrage.
Totally agree.
Only gripe I have is with old pathfinders and my main issue is that they should just remove the time gate so returning players don’t waste time.
Not sure if my thoughts will change with the new leveling methods in SLS.
I wouldn’t have an issue with WoW’s pathfinder if…
It was fun to complete, yes this is subjective
Wasn’t time gated
Had any sort of damn effort put in game as to why you can’t fly till you magically can. Immersion wise it makes literally no sense why you can’t fly. FF14 manages this fine giving you a lore reason you can’t “safely” fly in a new area till you scout it out.
See I’m totally okay with people doing that. It’s their decision to play that way. People need to be responsible for themselves. If I have a whole day to play and dungeon grind reputation, I want the option too. At the moment I just hop on do the 4 WQs for the emissary and hearth back and wonder what to do. After a few minutes, I log out and play something else. Of course that plays right into Blizzard’s MAU game. I guess I’ll just wait to buy SL until x.2 this time
That said, it really would be a huge step forward to have the timegate removed. If it was literally the first thing I worked toward in an expansion it would feel a lot more organic and a lot more worth doing as you’d have it most of the expansion if you did it right, just like we’re supposed to. Timegating it only makes some people not do the first part, because currently it leads nowhere, they may not even read the forums or wowhead to know they should be doing it. By the time the second part rolls out, for some of us it’s way too late.
I literally haven’t done a single thing for pathfinder other than maybe progress the story some (if that even matters). I leveled on islands, skipped the map. Went straight to Naz and set my hearth there. I only go to Boralus for a quick transmog or a ticket to SW. So obviously, if I started working on it right now at the rates I play I’d be lucky if I had it six months.
What isn’t worth the effort and was concocted by the devs out of spite, I hate. What I hate, I don’t do.
People are mad they don’t get a hand out, via of using an easily-obtainable small lump sum gold amount.
If Blizzard were going to make it buyable via gold, atleast make it “Omgosh I finally have enough gold for the riding skill!” feeling like back in the day. They could establish this if they increased it to like 3 mill gold for flying, but atleast said there’s no pathfinder, just a rep grind & the gold - Most players would still be earning it, because it would at least put a dent in the overall economy of Azeroth.
Sorry but this AINT classic and flight AINT god mode. It doesnt need to be expensive.
As long as we can all get it on the same date it doesnt matter how we get it.
