How long are you going to take to fix the issue of disenchanting ilvl 300 + items into illusion dust. You’re wasting the players time and gold at this point.
Maybe if you reported which items are problematic?
I’m pretty sure we’re talking about Timewalking drops.
The developers decided long ago that timewalking loot would be the original loot items from the original loot tables of the dungeons, only scaled up in item level to be appropriate for higher-level characters.
But that means those items disenchant into shards from the original expansion, regardless of the artificially inflated after-the-fact item level. The’re still BC items, or WoD items, etc.
This is intentional, not a bug, going back to patch 7.3.5.
So reporting in the Bug Report forum won’t help. By Blizzard’s own rules, an intentional design choice is never a bug, no matter how much you don’t like it.
Illusion Dust is Classic mats though and there isn’t Classic TW. But I agree it would help us work it out if OP said what they actually disenchanted.
The trouble is when you’re mindlessly mass disenchanting you’re not usually looking at every item closely to see what it becomes, you just look at the results at the end and see something you didn’t expect and wonder where it came from.
Item Restoration page should give that information.
The illusion dust is coming from random green drops and crafted 316 blue items. Its been an issue for months and still not fixed. That is my issue.
