please stop funneling us into your story questline. Everything we do always goes back to the “campaign” quest stuff. People just wanna log on and run dungeons, pvp, raid with friends…why you hate us so much blizz?
Leave funneled/mandatory questing out of the game. I dont care about Sylvanas. I don’t care about the jailer. I dont care about this crappy land. I just wanna hurt some feelings in pvp. but I have to constantly grind out terrible storyline after storyline to unlock stuff. I can’t even transfer soulash to my alt until I do more campaign stuff. And then I have to grind more campaign stuff on alt. I’m trying to dodge/skip/ignore all your terrible questing. I don’t want to do campaign stuff. Your storyline sucks. Sylvanas sucks. So sick of her. I have Sylvanas-fatigue. I have torghast-fatigue. I have Maw-fatigue. I dont wanna rescue souls…I wanna kill Alliance. I wanna participate in the world of warcraft thats fun and enjoyble for me. This must all somehow come down to $. I’m not sure how…but enough of forced content.
It’s an RPG. You’re always gonna have to do quests.

This isnt Tribes or CoD. PvP is at best 2ndary if not 3rd tier behind Story and raid/m+

Yeah they had it right in s1 when ranked gear was on par with high level raiding.
I used to raid too. I found the actual story line interesting…i dont mind questing for stuff but having everything locked behind reknown and campaign chapters is so stupid. I was actually down for raiding this season just to kill sylvie. But she lives on. Cant do it.
S1 was actually bearable. Between raiding and ranked pvp i didnt need to do anything else.
Even RPG aside, this has been a core part of WoW since at least WotLK. It’s not much, dude, and it’s one and done.
Dude. Just no. I ranked out in arenas in wrath and then i was pvping i was raiding ulduar and then trial and then icc. It was so sweet man
Literally log on, hop into a raid or pvp or jump on an alt and help guildies friends in dungeons with alts. I didnt do any questing and i was rockin two different sets. Pvp and pve. Had first five bosses in icc25 on farm (never got past that before xpac came out) icc heroic 10 was on farm was so much fun. Not a single quest done

We use to hit max level and could spam our favourite pvps, now we can’t until we grind 10 hours of snorghast a day NO THANKS!!!
Yeah i mean if u never experienced a time when questing was optional and irrelevant if u did ranked pvp or raiding and this campaign stuff is all u know…
I guess its good. But for us who value making our time most enjoyable doing stuff we want it sucks
But there was, in effect, a “campaign story” through each expansion. Blizzard just made it much harder to raid log and never ever follow that story this expansion. I think the situation is less that Blizzard is “forcing” anything, and more that maybe people with your playstyle are an anachronism.
Blizzard made this game completely linear in almost every aspect. Being funneled is part of the experience and I honestly am starting to hate it myself… I like having options.
You will play how blizzard tells you to play, and you will like it
That’s your opinion OP and only your opinion. I don’t do group content at all so questing for me IS the game! I love questing! So when you say people only want to run dungeons, raid and do pvp you are dead wrong.
I only want to pvp so he is dead right.
Actually the use of a type of MMO theme park, is already failing or is very limited for the duration unlike other MMO’s of the Sandbox style.
I think Blizzard should already leave the BG’s, dungeons, raids completely separated from the world and include them in a sandbox where there is no other room where we have to wait for a loading screen.
Maybe the questlines are very tedious in comparison, but we are in RPG MMO and the purpose of the game is to role-play in this world, something that doing bg’s, dungeons and raids is the same as doing some Grand Chase or some MOBA, or some shooter like CS.
