I really wish they’d shut the FCM service off of low pop servers as well. On one hand I can understand some real player will likely be impacted coming back to their cloned era toon 4 years later (lol) and have to pay to move to a popular server. Bad experience no doubt.
On the other hand, people who play with communities on low pop servers (it me, I’m biased) are impacted daily by a plague of bots who steal our very limited resources and mule them to Whitemane.
It’s not the same as competing against players on your own server, or even competing against bots who stay on the server. They don’t then go post these on our AH so we can buy them. Instead it makes already scarce resources even harder to obtain, with no option for a secondary market on the AH.
Anyways, I’ve chatted a good bit with Aggrend about this and his stance is that it’s good for the health of Whitemane’s economy. Lol:
I’ve had a few people bring this up but i honestly do not see the harm in allowing this freedom of movement. Sure it might get abused sometimes, but honestly in a world where the economy is old and inflated, having materials come in regularly helps keep prices nominal. Not to say we won’t change it, but I’m struggling to see the actual problem with it.
I’ve pressed on it multiple times with him, and he is unwavering in his stance.
This is not really the epidemic you are claiming it to be, I’m quite sorry. I have the numbers and very few people are transferring off of your realm. It’s a handful in the last month. I have no way of knowing if those are “farmers” or real people coming back to era and looking to go to a populated realm. I’ll look into it a bit deeper, but if these are legit accounts, no we will not mess with this.
Le Sigh. Anyways don’t hold your breath.
