sure it adds a lot to the game, kills the mobs for 5 minutes, makes the zone unusable and destroys nothing, a true cataclysm, that’s what we call good game design

I leveled 2 characters from 1-85 in OG Cata and never seen deathwing. Started fresh in classic cata and got the achievement first day, would have had it twice in one day if it was allowed in the achievements tab.
It stops in the Dragon Soul patch.
If it wasn’t bugged it wouldn’t be to bad. Twilight highlands you don’t even get the warning he is coming. Its a completely useless mechanic. Should have ended with the prepatch.

Womp womp someone died one too many times not paying attention while digging.
It’s not just Twilight Highlands. It’s all over the place. Three times in one day and no prior warning.

One thing they should definitely do is just remove the fire from locations that rares spawn. There are the rare pets in twilight highlands and some of them are in locations that are killed by fire and considering their very long respawn timer seems kind of whack.
The only problem with deathwing is his obsession with uldum, he carpet bombs that desert twice for every other zone he visits.

Feels like they’re using it to sell 80 boosts at this point the amount of times I’ve died from it just questing to level 50 is ridiculous
The fires are bugged… They appear with zero warning the vast majority of the time. And their frequency is greatly increased… This is not how it was originally in Cataclysm.

If I’m not mistaken, some aspects of the warning are buggy and differ from OG Cata.
But the zone does turn a reddish colour warning of his imminent arrival.
Only once have I not seen the warning.
And that was when I was questing underground in a large mine.
If I were to quibble about it - why do flames erupt underground when he’s breathing fire from above? 
No worries though, I simply took a 
break.

This. If you see this, mount up and fly straight up to avoid the flame height. once you have eyes on DW in the distance like you could a Fel Reaver, just fly in a direction that takes you well outside his sight of you.
It is a bit tricky when you are in the plaguelands as the sky there is already a sickly orangish color in areas.
