Stop cutting tabards with belts

Exactly right, tabards really add that extra ompf to mogs!

Shame that people have so little control on how tabards work also, even when it is tucked, sometimes the back is still swinging like why lol

Don’t get me started on clipping! Ears into shoulders, weapons into capes, tabards into belts etc. I’m surprised there is still so much clipping 20 years later. I feel like modern game engines could handle things not clipping but the clipping in wow really makes the older engine show.

I hate it so much, especially for dracthyr, I’ll be thinking “oh, I bet the belt piece would look nice with my armor in dracthyr form,” then I switch and can see my dracthyr’s crotch.

Oml, yeah sometimes I just don’t want to see crotch like hello? :,)

Adding another agreement. It looks pretty bad when the belt makes the bottom front half of the tabard disappear. Some pants/bottoms do this as well.

Its particularly bad when the belt cuts off the bottom front of the tabard, but not the bottom of back. At that point it just looks like my shirt tail pulled out and I haven’t fixed it.

I literally am using a mog on a alt where the front is tucked but the back is just not? I had to cover it with a cape, so annoying

ok i have thoughts on this

1. i dont mind belts cutting tabards when they have the little hang down part. bUT
2. its inconsistent. some belts cut, some straight up just clip into the tabard?
3. ENOUGH WITH THE FLOPPY BELTS. not every belt needs a little piece of fabric hanging from it

Yeah, personally I’m ok with some fabrics or leather that’re floppy but seriously, they need to have a bit of everything!

What irked me when I made this post, the Gilded Nightborne Waistplate is considered bulky??

It’s the tiniest thing ever ( doesn’t even clip ) and it hides the bottom half of the tabard, it’s super inconsistent on what isn’t and what is cutting off tabards, hence toggling would be a life saver atm but we’ll have to see I guess

I hope we get an upgraded Guild Tabard feature with the next expansion. With some of the latest tabard models releases, it really just shows the potential of what we could have for guild tabards T-T

The thing that REALLY irks me is how some tabards are cut for the belt, and others are not. Like… why? Look at this. There’s no rhyme or reason to it:

Some of them are based on old/unused tabards that they just didn’t bother touching up. All tabards that are newly made are not cut for the belt. They started doing that in SL.

Ok - so it’s lazy on their part. Great that new ones going forward won’t be cut, but it still means more tabards than not are awkward and clip weirdly when you try to transmog them, which is annoying.
