Stop crying about the trading post

I mean, people said it was tinfoil hat when they said you would be able to purchase this with money… It’s not the way that they predicted but you can.

It’s not far fetched if you really consider what blizzard is doing with their games. Look at all the shop items on overwatch. look at the platinum coin system in diablo. Heck look at the real money auction house they had briefly in diablo 3.

It is not a conspiracy theory to anticipate that they are going to monetize this further. It may end up not being true, but it’s not like they pulled this out of nowhere. Blizzard has a precedence of doing things like this.

I’m not going to say no one said pay to win, but I’m pretty sure it was not a main argument at all

This way of thinking is why we’re at this point.

“It’s just silly horse armour, you don’t NEED to buy it.”

5 Euro for a unique pair of wrists and 200 tenders is not bad. Not sure i would buy only 200 tenders for it but since they are so unique it got me

This point? This point where it’s still just for cosmetics??

In the time it would take to do that you would have already gotten thousands upon thousands of tender just from playing the game its an insignificant amount

What’s with the diss to cardboard boxes?

They at least have symmetry, sheesh.

Tell that to the new players who start the game next year. The first month that they start, they’ll be able to buy roughly 100,000 tenders on the shop.

I bet around that time, the trader post will offer a lot more items and the prices for those items will be about 20 times the cost they would be today.

I just don’t see the issue with Tenders being monetized. They are exclusively for cosmetics, and the cash shop already sells cosmetics, so… this just isn’t that different.

I don’t particularly like the idea of Tenders being RMT - I do think the Trading Post works far better in terms of player goodwill as a loyalty reward - but them being monetized now, or in the future really changes nothing.

It’s not. People just like complaining for one, and for two, people really seem to hate it any time Blizz tries to make any sort of money. The subs are down, if people that LIKE the appearances are willing to pay some cash for them, why does it hurt their fee-fees?

It’s hardly anything, 200 tenders is like a penny. But thanks for sharing Mr Krabs.

Yet you participate in society

Dude its a one time 200 tenders a month it would take decades upon decades to rewch that point and the game probably wont exist by that point

its 200 tenders this month… next month it will be 400, then october it will 800, then november it will 1600… then december will be 3200 and THEN the NEW YEAR’S SPECIAL will be 8000 tender bundle that can be purchased infinitely

Trading post has only worked on my main.
On all my other toons it did not work at all and I did the same actions as my main.
So I no longer fiddle with it or attempt to use the trading post on any of my toons except for my main. so for my other toons I have given up and refuse to do anything with it or any sort of investigation. I just want my alts to be left alone and so what I do is
I park all my toons in Dalaran so I do not get the stupid trading post quest.

Thats just what you think it is unless it actually happens its just hearsay

The consensus was that they ain’t adding trader’s tenders because they are adding more icons for it
What folks did point out is that it would most likely be for bundles, Amazon Prime, crossplatform stuff, expansions, etc.
Literally everyone said that - if you want to make a clown meme put yourself in it for thinking anything else

Nothing’s changed and this outcry about the trader is just more fake outcry, which happens every single week on these forums

They have prepared art for “bundles” that give as much tender as is possible to earn in a month through gameplay. Effectively 2x -ing what a player could normally hope to get. And of course nothing is stopping them from creating a even bigger bundle than the 1k they’ve already prepared art for. Or offering more frequent/ repeatable purchase options.

Stop shilling for them. It’s straight up disgusting the way in which Blizzard is treating players. And the behavior of the players defending Blizzard’s actions is also deeply troubling.

I’m just waiting until the gambling boxes appear on the trading post for tenders lmao.

Lol, WoW actually IS pay to win though, ever since they added the tokens at least.

I know, for a fact, people spent real dollars to buy that Brutosaur, and still are, for the Naxxramas crap. Anything expensive for that matter, real money is being used to close the gap.

What’s the reason you play? For cool rewards?

Well, you can buy a carry, gg. You’ve won, lol.

A large part of the reason why anything prestigious doesn’t matter in this game anymore, it can just be bought. I’m just glad I got a lot of things that never made it to carry-status, as they were removed before they were able to be tainted. It was just a more innocent time, and there’s no going back to it.

The moment they bring back an old reward, it loses all prestige it once had.
