funny you should mention battlegrounds… because the single closest mechanic to RDF is xrealm BGs, which where added in the very end of vanilla, simply to beta test the system for tbc… and yet they where still included in vanilla-classic with BGs, as soon as BGs where added, exactly like RDF should be.
Oh… and specifically as to why bgs weren’t in p1 vanilla? Because they throw off the gearing progression curve. They where in from the start in SoM and you saw that the meta for raiding was also gaining at least rank 10 on nearly every class for the pvp set.
I have never been in a mage boost group in my entire life. The closest thing I’ve been in to that was in classic when people were using eye of kilrog to mass pull SM and that was with everyone in the group being my own level.
I don’t gdkp… I literally am the stereotypical wow player that finds a guild and raids with them to earn gear. I level through questing and occasionally do dungeons for decent gear while leveling.
I get your trolling and not open minded to the possibility of people literally not being able to get a group and in your world that’s ok here on earth tho it isn’t.
I am not this holy priest. My name is not Feywaif. People play characters. The game is designed so that people can play alts. It has 10 character slots per server and 50 over all. If all I wanted to do is raid log with this holy priest I wouldn’t need the RDF. I can get all the dungeons I want quickly as a healer. Just because I post on my main and it’s a healer doesn’t mean I don’t need the RDF. I play dps alts too. Frankly if all I wanted to do is raid log a healer I wouldn’t play wow at all. The sub cost isn’t worth it to me to just raid log. I’d get more value for my entertainment dollars spending it on other things.
Dungeon leveling with RDF is still slower than actually just leveling if you don’t suck at it.
Having RDF just means that occasionally you’ll actually see/interact with other players during that time, rather than soloing.
Having easy access to dungeons could hopefully get LESS people boosting from gold sellers aoeing, by offering them an alternative method of leveling (dungeon crawling)… God forbid people actually play the game instead of being boosted.
DPS players will not be getting instant queues with LFD. They will be questing while waiting for the queue, and then going back to questing after the dungeon.
Yep I’m sure new players coming to the game a year into tbcc are suffering immensely from the lack of dungeon groups.
Nope, it’s just a small vocal minority that want to level alts but don’t like the boost community that is super popular because people want to afk leveling to max
BB means you’re sitting there with paper clips holding your eyes open cuz the chat is going 10,000 words per second, and you can’t do anything but look at the chat.
This needs more emphasis as a MASSIVELY GOOD THING about RDF…
You don’t have to CC yourself for between 15min and the heat death of the universe to get a group as a DPS.
The current model you can literally do nothing but sit down and be ready to quick reply inv to any group that has a dps spot, or form your own and spend however long spamming for a tank… RDF does that garbage for you, while you are actually free to play the game in the meantime.
It is a gargantuan increase in the quality of life for DPS specs/classes.
Sounds like you might want to take an aspirin and see a doctor in the morning.
Also, this WAS the nature of Classic–LFG was introduced in WotLK so keeping it would be the true Classic experience.
Why do you think it should revolve around you?
Those pesky minorities–always acting up. Almost like they’re entitled to have an opinion of their own. Shouldn’t they just be grateful that they get to play at all? It’s not like they can’t ride the bus–they just have to sit in the back, right?
I’m sure some do play Retail.
I’m sure you’ve done some back of the envelope calculations and are prepared to bust out the calculus on this one…
Right! Because Retail never revisited Ice Crown or kept a system from Vanilla intact–like the LFG system introduced in Vanilla WotLK.
And how DARE anyone disagree with you! Don’t they know who Shay is? She’s not just another Blood Elf rogue! She’s a Blood Elf rogue with goggles!
I don’t think that was WoW. I think you might’ve been on an…ahem…“adult themed website.” Like CNN.
Well, at least you admit you’re terrible. That’s a step towards getting the help you need.
Because limiting its use to three or four runs per day would simply break everything. Full stop. Remove it–it’s cancer–nope. Forget that people have lives and jobs and kids and maybe even elderly parents to look after and don’t have a lot of time to get in a group. Just remove it and they should be grateful or not play it at all!
Because how dare anyone have kids! How dare anyone have a spouse! How dare anyone have a job! How dare anyone have a life! If Shay has none of these things, then nobody should because Shay isn’t just a Blood Elf rogue–she’s a Blood Elf rogue…IN GOGGLES!
Agreed. Social experiences are great. You might gain a few levels if you’d care to work on your own social skills.
Staring at a chat box for a half hour+ with no guarantee you’ll even get a group? Yes, it is too much and sitting in a queue for a guaranteed group is better.
