If you can’t live without instant grouping and dungeon teleports then why have you even decided to play Classic?
It makes me sick to think that people want to come play it but demand that Blizzard change the formula of Classic to suit them. Why does the game have revolve around you? The people complaining about not having LFG in Classic era servers are the loudest minority I swear.
Why come over here then try to make Classic more like Retail?!? JUST GO PLAY RETAIL OMG.
It’s not that hard to figure it out. There’s two types of WoW, they’re both greatly different from one another and that’s the awesome thing about having Classic and Retail existing. Both types of players get the type of game that they want, stop trying to make the other version of the game like the other.
I think having LFG removed from WoTLK Classic is a great thing that’ll help keep that feel that the classic era servers initially had all those years ago. I remember when they added the LFG tool and it wasn’t until the later part of WoTLK.
WoTLK was my first expansion ever playing WoW and I was just terrible at the game back then. I got to see a lot of content that I didn’t deserve to see. Lot of terrible players like myself back then all over the dungeon queue’s and veteran players absolutely hated us for it. Fast forward to now, I understand why LFG was a bad idea from the start and would rather it stay gone completely out of Classic era servers.
Retail WoW is for you if you value convenience over gameplay and social interaction. If you can’t afford the time to look for a group then you don’t deserve to be in a group. That’s just how it is. You actually have to put in time for what you want to achieve and make an effort to find other players to help you meet those goals. Through those hardships you create bonds with people, with instant queue tools that whole social interaction is completely removed. Social interaction which is suppose to be a key corner stone of the “Classic” experience.

It is a loud vocal minority indeed. Tons of people play this game but they see a thread with 40 upvotes on a comment that’s pro LFD and they say “see!!! It’s scientifically proven that more people want LFD!”
This forums is pretty much just a reminder that the United States education system has failed to provide people with the skill of deduction or debate.

Its crazy to see how many people have been actually claiming that ‘No one has ever had an issue with LFD’ or ‘LFD was never the issue, it was only LFR’ (which is ridiculous since LFR is literally just an extension of LFD which affects less weekly gameplay than LFD will by a mile).

What you should be crying about is blizzard refusing to address the root issues that make people want LFD.

So how should blizzard handle the root issue? Force people to level alts to supply a population of players to run with a year after launch? Force people to level tanks?

Guilds died when LFR released. Guilds flourished when RDF released. Guild premade groups in RDF were literally the greatest part of RDF. You would queue up with 3-4 guildies and get instant queues for everyone if you had a Tank and/or a Healer in your party.

Well blizzard at this point is refusing to do server merger.
You know how we got retail? Blizzard tried fixing every player created issue… with things like server mergers and LFD.

People can play withoug LFD.
However LFD was a part of the wrath experience, and the current existance and state of dungeons in TBCC is toxic as hell.
Looking for Dungeon would only improve people’s ability to actually do content by a significant margin.
The gatekeepers can whine all they want, the greedy tanks can complain they cannot charge people hundreds of gold / all the BoE drops in the dungeon to do their job in a dungeon.
Doesn’t matter. LFD is a positive boon to the community.
There is literally zero socialization in spamming “LFxM for Y dungeon, PST” for 2 hours in a global cesspool channel like LFG.
There is no social interaction, it’s literally just sapmming over and over and over again until you finally find someone after 45+ minutes.
LFD queue times could get long to, but you know what? You don’t actively have to fight the LFG tool or chat to use it, and can go do your own thing while waiting. Which is nothing but ap ositive.
The minority opinion is that somehow LFG chat spam and a broken buggy LFG tool is somehow better than the random dungeon finder.

It looks like blizzard has made a decision to not include Rdf… we don’t even know if minority or majority opinion has anything to do with that… which points to the weakness of the argument of pro LFD… of which most claim that the “majority” wants it.
No. I want to play WotLK as it was, which includes LFD. If you don’t like it, then don’t use it or go play Classic Era.

This is the same logic that created this whole mess in the first place, the same reasoning that started WoW’s downward spiral in subscribers. WoTLK was also the peak for a reason, after LFG and added convenience people began falling off. At Cataclysm we saw this tenfold.
