Stop asking for Nerfs

What is going around these forums?
“oh we mages kinda need a nerf in frost, we kinda need a nerf in sunfury, we kinda need a nerf in X or that”

There is no balance in MMOs your class is either good or it’s not. Hunters arent asking to be nerfed, evokers dont want to be nerfed, warriors dont wan to be nerfed, DKs dont want to be nerfed, and guess what? they werent
But people come and go from forums and mage class discords stating how much nerf mages need lol.

There is no in-between situation, quit asking for nerfs blizzard will just nerf they wont recreate it to something you particularly want

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve seen enough expansions drop to know that 2/3 mage specs regularly get nerfed into the ground either immediately before or immediately after a release.

Blizzard has already indicated with their most recent changes that they feel as if Sunfury mages are ahead of the game and need to be reeled in. Most of us here expect that “reel in their damage” means “put them in the ground again.” We’re a bit jaded here on the forums.

Most of the mages I see aren’t explicitly asking for nerfs, but rather trying to lead Blizzard into a nerf that won’t ruin us. For a lot of people right now (as it was with the Nether Precision Double Dip Dilemma), the change Blizzard suggested could have an impact on how we do our rotations. A lot of people (myself included) feel as if these rotations feel pretty good right now, and we’d like to conserve that enjoyable playstyle as best we can.

So we’re trying to lead Blizzard out of the “break my rotation” fix and into the “reduce some numbers” fixes.

At the end of the day, I’m likely going to still be playing arcane one way or the other. So I’d rather have an enjoyable-to-play rotation that isn’t the best damage out there than god-tier dps that isn’t fun to play.

Im not calling for them but i wont be surprised if they happen.

Sunfury feels really strong, I have been absolutely destroying everyone i meet on dps meters.

NERF mages please.
