Stop asking for changes

the PvP honor system isn’t even out yet…I again guarantee there will be more in PvP specs when the honor system comes out…

in vanilla there wasn’t dual specs…so that wouldn’t be anywhere near vanilla…

I care more about the experience than what is or wasn’t in vanilla. Our experience and knowledge already creates a different game, so the changes I propose wild make the experience closer to vanilla, even if the rules etc. are different.

does not mean they need to change the game

again subjective…I think they would have consequences that you aren’t even thinking about…the removal of one of the gold sinks with out adding another would make things worse not better, so if they changed that they would have to add something else …hmm seams like that slippery slope thing. then people would be like well they changed that so why not this. then it just keeps going.

Make the dual spec cost 2k gold then or something.

or just leave it how it is you know vanilla like…

No fun in that, people will quit and the game will be dead.

I want classic around for longer than just content drops.

your opinion…again there is a game they have that they change all the time…if you dont like it tell them to change that, classic wasn’t not meant to be changed…this is not a do over

There were many stupid things in classic. Things that could be fine tuned to allow the player to spend more time enjoying the game and less frustrating time micromanaging:

Most of us have very limited bag space. Allowing mats and such to stack to 20 wouldn’t break the game and yet make it so much easier for those with professions.

The AH tax is pretty steep. Low level crafted gear sells for less then 5 gold with lots selling for say 15 silver. The AH tax might be 11 silver. So few make gear and post it on the AH. Grafter gear for a 5-25 player should have an AH taz of under 1 silver.

Who cares? It already isn’t anywhere near vanilla anyway.

so your solution is to change it more to make it even less like vanilla?
…are there changes to the game …yes…does that mean they should make more …no… the only changes they should be making/thinking about is to make it more like vanilla.

My point is that vanilla was never remotely close to perfect, so if you have no intention of making it authentic anyway, you might as well fix objectively broken garbage in it.

I never said it was…but again this is not a do over this is a look to the past…they have a game were they “fixed” many of these things…if you truly want them “fixes” go play it …its called retail.

Actually, it isn’t called retail. Retail removed most of the vanilla content.

retail is Bfa …I am saying that is the game they made these “fixes” you all keep asking for they already have a game were they made them go play it…this is not a do over.

shrug

no changes is a marketing mistake.

the people who play classic will slowly dwindle down. had they gone more in on changes, not only would have more people come back to begin with but the player decay rate would be much lower than it presently is.

by pulling the trigger on this version of classic first, they’ve also hurt their audience potential on classic+.

so it’s like two marketing mistakes in one. oh well.

I see some of the more familiar contenders are present.

Now who do I play devils advocate for today?

I don’t think people will quit over not having Dual Spec. It just means people that play classes, like myself (war), that are able to do other things (mostly tanks as they are in demand), will likely just keep playing DPS.

Most people are to use to the instagratification and easy loot of Retail.

Classic/Vanilla makes you work for it. I don’t think that should change.

There’s a big difference between a fix, like a bug or issue, and adding things that didn’t exist in Classic. A bug or issue shouldn’t necessarily be allowed to remain if it is an issue.

He’s literally the game’s director. If you can’t accept what he says about WoW as truth, then you’re settling yourself up for serious disappointment.

.-. Ya’ll got to calm down with that. Like this company never has said or done anything it said it would or wouldn’t do. Pretty weak argument guys.

LOL WoW subs tripled in number in August when Classic launched…That is by no means a marketing mistake

You mean the RETAIL people who came for a nostalgia trip, then quit because it’s not as easy or speedy to level a character :joy:

Ehh that’s rather subjective. Changing Classic to be something drastically different right out the gate most likely would not have brought back so many private server players though, and it is THOSE players who are the reason it even exists. It was meant to be a recreation of vanilla to appeal to that audience…NOT people who want retail features in a vanilla skin

If that were something they were even remotely interested in doing, Blizzard wouldn’t have mentioned TBC in the AMA on August 20th, 6 days before Classic launched. Sorry but that ship set sail already a long time ago

“Warts and all”…again this isn’t a do over, its a snapshot of the past its supposed to be a hey look how the game used to be…
