no one levelling alts? this cant be right

If SoD is permanent all that shows is thru data, that this is what the majority of players enjoy/want. If ppl don’t want this then itl flop like SoM and ERA/HC

Are you a real human?
How is anyone mad about leveling fast in a version of the game that’s supposed to be about trying new things?

This game mode is seasonal; everything you’ve worked to achieve will be gone at some point. Your entire time spent here is going to amount only to the total amount of fun you had playing. And if other people getting to play through zones faster or try a larger variety of classes somehow reduces your fun, that’s a problem you have to take up with yourself.

A seasonal mode where everything will be meaningless eventually should not also be a monotonous grind.

you literally just replied to someone else “mmo’s aren’t for you go play something more causal…” so which is it? sweaty or casual… tf? lol

Eh there is something to be said for it cheapening the accomplishments of characters who did it the ‘authentic’ way or whatever we want to call it, but in all honesty with the amount of secondary activity for characters (runes, new rep farm etc) I don’t think leveling quicker will necessarily change how long it takes to get characters up to speed. but personal alts for leveling and making gold by quests is more viable, who never get the runes or rep etc.

Idk man. Kinda feels like SoD may not be fire you.

The server is slated over a year and they still like to swing the “seasonal” excuse lol

You know people used to call 2004/2005 WoW a children’s MMORPG… right?

Some of those easy 40 man raids people want have less difficulty than raid shadow legends…

Casual eh?

Not sure why people think “seasonal” is argument enough to justify their point. The length of retail expansions is barely longer than our “Season”

You do realize that retail is about two years per expansion. While SOD is about maybe a bit longer than a year if they timegate the raids after MC. However unlike retail, SoD is only temporary and characters will be deleted or after while become obsolete since nothing new will come out. IF…they do progress beyond vanilla, then that will change things however, with spells from TBC and beyond the likelihood of this happening is nil cause a lot will have to be reworked again. SoD is seasonal and people should be able to quickly level up their alts and try different classes.

This is where I do like where retail does have increases for your alts, but not your main character. The level exp boost and mount should come after a character has already done so.

You can tell the people who played in actual vanilla versus those who started in classic in threads like this. Those of us who lived out the slow strangling of wow know that this is indeed EXACTLY how all the enjoyment got removed.

It’s like the frog in boiling water scenario…all the vanilla players are the half burned frogs that survived last time… trying to warn the oblivious classic tadpoles that the water is getting too hot

It’s not really making it less time consuming. It’s giving players the freedom to focus that time on other aspects of the game.

Or you can still grind to your heart’s content if you like.

Phase two will have been out for a month already. Most people already have one or two characters at 40. This will make it easier for us to level our other alts that we may have not leveled otherwise.

I played vanilla. Leveling was slow and it sucked. This is better. You don’t speak for all ex-vanilla players so please stop.

I enjoy lvling alts so I will take this. Maybe make it so you can turn off the buff so people like you can turn it off and let the rest of us enjoy it :man_shrugging:

You realize this a temporary seasonal server, right?

Phase 2 leveling was a drag. They’re fixing that.

How you type this out and not think that the celestial steed being on the store is not related to Activisions practices? You just substantiated what I said. Sheeeeeesh.
