Stonefather's Boon quest

The quest Stonefather’s Boon in Deepholm is still bugged, I have been checking it daily. This quest is part of the critical path, and not being able to complete it is gatekeeping a large portion of the zone.

I know there’s a work-around to use the item from the pillar, but that won’t suffice for a launch scenario as it takes even a single person a long time to complete it due to the 3 minute buff duration. The item needs to be fixed or the buff duration set very low.

It is bugged, in the meantime try this, drop the quest and retake the quest, there is a few guys to the north of questgiver on the Hilly area fighting mobs that it will work on, make sure you are highlighting a npc before using the item, you need to trigger it in specific spots for a stone to come down and buff them successfully, hope this helps.
