Can anyone actually confirm Flames of Ragnaros dropping from Stolen Present. Because I am not sold on the idea.
I saw someone celebrating in chat about it yesterday.
I’ve been told it does indeed drop, but also there are so many trolls lol
Got mine from Stolen Present on the first day of Winter Veil. It does drop. Only once, though, across twenty alts. Received the icy effect three times.
You received flames from the daily stolen present or the special box that’s once per char per year. I did the special once yearly quest first day on 18 60s and got grasp 6 times and no flames. Just grinding the blue daily present now
I’ve seen it drop for someone this year, but it is extremely rare.
I’m running things on lots of alts and have horrible luck so it will probably be a few more years though. Good luck on the grind if you go for it! It does exist.

Wowhead lists it dropping from both boxes at a rate between 1% and half a %
Things sometimes do vanish from drop lists, but combined with the anecdotes out there, I’d take it as encouragement to keep trying.
(I got it years ago, but my memory isn’t good enough to be sure it was from the stolen present specifically)

Yeah, I got it a couple of days ago. Now finally bumped up to 2 pages on my enchants appearances tab!!
Sheesh, I just counted it up, and I’ve got 14 alts 50+. No wonder it’s taking me so long to Greenchify all of them.

It’s a rough drop. I too have doubts. Sigh… This is the love rocket all over again.

LF Draenei Paladin got flames of Ragnaros 5 minutes ago. Pays to have an alt army for this. Of course, I would have preferred to get the rotten little helper pet. Keep grinding Stolen Present!
Flames of Ragnaros enchant also can be found on the BMAH. After reading up on it a bit, it’s not for hunters.
Idk why. Seems kind of cruel.
How does a person know if they already have it? I tried looking on WowHead but its not clear.
Look in your appearances tab. Under weapons, there’s a tiny scroll, click on that.

Since you asked, I have been looking now and I can confirm that it drops from the blue “stolen present”. I got one tonight on an alt and it even said I already had collected it. So, it must have happened 2 (or more) times that I’ve gotten one.

can’t you just go to your xmog page and check your weapon enchants? it should show up in any list be it obtained or unobtained depending what you are tracking.
