Still trying to get Launcher problems fixed. (struggling to get it to launch) No one responded last time

I have problems launching the game from the launcher. Some days its a near instant launch, but most of the time When I click launch it says launching for a few seconds, and then goes back to play. I have to keep clicking play. Eventually like 10 instances of wow will open and i Have to exit them out save for one, then I can play.

This is the third thread i’ve made on this…no one has responded yet and opening a ticket is a hassle, I can’t figure out how to do it.

I go through this at least a few times a week. Just took 15 mins for it to actually launch.

Yup. Drivers are up to date, virus protection isn’t an issue. Some days it launches near instantly, others it does indeed take 10-15 minutes of spamming the play button and waiting for a bunch of wow instances to come up. This is the only game that has this issue on my computer. Once it finally launches it runs fine with zero crashes

Found a thread talking about this maybe what this person did will help here is the quote from them:

OK did some testing, un installed and reinstalled the desktop launcher, no improvement.
Deleted the blizz desktop launcher (the whole folder) opened wow using the exe file, no issues loaded it several times, OW andCoD worked fine as normal.
re installed the desktop app and so far WoW boots in under 10 seconds like it always had. seems an update did something to a file in the desktop launcher that wasnt fixed by uninstalling. I’m guessing the filecausing this is in the blizz launcher folder and deleting the whole folder forces a new working version to be downloaded. I have no idea which file but so far multiple times of log off and on again different times of day and working as normal. if this changes I’ll update here assuming it happens again in under a month or the thread locks.
I hope this fixes the issue for others too if you try it. please do say if it worked for you or not as that will I hope help more people and possibly spark a fix.
