Still not receiving any Fractured Sparks

As of this week I am still not receiving any fractured sparks from any relevant activity. I was actually told by a GM today that I have received a total of FOUR (which includes the free one after the exploit thing, and one that was sent via in-game mail from support after acknowledging there was a problem). They also said that four was the max amount I could have this week. Which is just incorrect. I, and everyone else, should have a total of 6.

How can a GM that supports this game, admit that I’ve only received four and in the same sentence tell me that’s all I should have…knowing that there are six available. Clearly this points to a problem.

This is maddening.

I’m on the same boat. It’s pretty ridiculous how fast they responded to making sure everyone was caught up after people got an extra fractured spark in week 2. Now they just don’t care at all about people not getting any sparks whatsoever. The only fractured spark I have gotten since week 2 was from a GM. It’s ridiculous they’re not acknowledging this.

I was actually able to get a GM to admit there was an issue, but also no resolution. Just sent me here again.

This is Game Master Pheullysti. I’ve reviewed your case and understood that you have some doubts regarding the mount of Fractured Spark of Fortunes you should have received.

First of all I would like to apologize for the amount of interactions we had been through to get the right resolution of this issue.
As my previous colleague explained, I was able to verify that you have 4 Fractured Spark of Fortunes on your character, when you should be able to get 6 of them.

Let me provide you more context, a week ago, turning in the quest “A Sparkling Fortune” could remove more than 1 Fractured Spark of Fortune from a character’s inventory, issue that was fixed on March 15.

So, in this case, we can see that after finishing Pinnacle Cache this week you haven’t received the Fractured Spark of Fortune you should. So, it seems something is not working as intended again, we recommend using the in-game reporting tools in the support menu to submit a bug report. Also, you can post a bug report in our official forums: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/15043 .
That way, our team can gather as much information as possible. As Game Masters, we have certain limitations and cannot directly fix in-game bugs immediately. These types of issues are typically handled by the World of Warcraft development team, whom are daily checking the issues our players are facing in the wow forum.

We truly appreciate your understanding and comprehension regarding this issue. It’s never our intention to make it seem like we’re directing you to submit a bug report only, especially considering your long-standing dedication as a respected player.
Thank you for taking the time to read through all this and I hope the rest of your week goes smoothly. We understand that might not be the outcome you desired, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. Feel free to contact us in case you have doubts about another problem. We’ll be waiting for you!

-GM Pheullysti-

My husband is still missing his half spark from last week in addition to his half spark from this week as well. He’s now a full spark behind (and it has nothing to do with the bugs relating to the free Spark they gave away). He was just never awarded the half spark at all (same with this week and how it will be going on from now). Several weeks in a row now he just can’t get a spark.

There is a bug going around where stuff like the Pinnacle Cache seems to think you have been awarded your spark but it never appears in your inventory. Unfortunantly, it still thinks it was given out so you are never eligible to get it from anything else (discs, pvp sparks of war, whatever).

There seems to be a significant number of players involved in this bug. There’s some set of circumstances that’s leading to this. He’s simply a full spark behind and apparently there’s nothing anyone can do. He was told to file a bug report last week, so he did. This week it has happened again and once again he has filed a bug report.

What is happening here?

Congrats on making more more progress than I did.

It is my understanding that in their fix after the issue where players were getting sparks earlier than intended, they had to flag some characters so they wouldn’t receive sparks in the following week(s). It looks as though some characters got that flag who shouldn’t have. Now they’re gaslighting us and telling us we can’t count.

I was told that I am not missing sparks, but I have no way to craft a second item and I am capped. This guy is trying to tell me that 2.5 sparks is the cap right now. It’s 3.5.

This is Specialist Game Master Vannthur.

I am sorry that we could not get back to you sooner. We currently have a high number of tickets and are working as quickly as possible to get to everyone as soon as we can.

With the issues we’ve had with the Fractured Sparks of Fortune, I took extra time to run very thorough searches on Sharpangesi, then I triple checked the results to see if we were missing anything.

From the results, we do see that the quest “A Sparkling Fortune” took two Fractured Sparks when it should have taken only one. That one was sent to you on 2025/03/21 and it was retrieved from the mailbox. This is the only one we could verify was not received due to a known bug and is the only one that we will provide.

As there are no other known issues with receiving Fractured Sparks at this time, we will not grant another and Sharpangesi will have to do weekly activities that award a Pinnacle Cache to get another.

This is the only answer that we will provide, so we must consider the matter fully addressed at this time even if we could not provide the desired outcome. I am closing out the ticket completely at this time.

Thank you for contacting us. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns related to your Battle.net account.

If you continue to experience issues, you can reopen this ticket. If you have a new or separate issue, please submit a new ticket.

Make sure you complete our survey to let us know how we did.

The problem is that they’re right. There wasn’t a bug causing me to not receive more sparks - My character was flagged in a bug fix to not receive more when I was never ahead in the first place. Unfortuneately there is no process to report an issue like this. The bug has long since been fixed.

/dump C_CurrencyInfo.GetCurrencyInfo(3132) returned equal ‘quantity’ and ‘maxQuantity’ values upon logging in on reset day for the last two weeks. This is how I am 2 weeks behind. Today is the first day those values weren’t equal, and I was able to get a fractured spark.

Can confirm this is still an issue. My DK is an entire spark behind and it’s a bit demoralizing.
