Doing a bunch of BoD runs for gmod. Years later and I’m still not over Rastakhan’s death. He was so fine, why he had to die?

The same reason every named NPC dies or is shelved.
They can’t afford paying the voice actor for more lines.

I waited over 10 years to finally see King Rastakhan in-game and they kill him off a patch later. I’m still upset. Talanji is…fine, but I don’t care about her. I waited for Rastakhan. Having a Horde with King Rastakhan on it would’ve been so hype.

Killing off Rastakhan was somewhat understandable. He was ancient even for a troll and Talanji was set up well (even if they missed the mark of the Talanji vs. Jaina conflict). What I really didn’t understand was killing off Rezan, that one seemed like a poor story choice to me.

The Horde could have used someone with his energy. The leftovers nowadays feel prideless and toothless.

At least Rezan’s soul was infused with Vol’jin’s and now Vol’jin is a Loa (probably), but Loa of what! Kings? Trolls? Warchiefs?

He failed his people and his kingdom, and a king who cannot protect his kingdom is no king at all.
Maybe if he’d listened when we tried to warn him about Zul, but no, he thought the guy selling out to the blood of the Old Gods was legit. Tale as old as time.

Because he was foolish. The zandalari kept themselves isolated for all those years, but he decided suddenly to get involved with the horde right when they escalated their conflict with the alliance. He made his city a target for no good reason.
He was a male leader, and one that wasn’t horrible. He had to die so he could be replaced by stronk woman.

Talanji is a good leader though, one of my favorites. Truly one of the last remaining warmongers left in Warcraft. Everyone else is all cuddly and buddy buddy, meanwhile Talanji is just over there waiting for the chance to get revenge for Rastakhan. She’s the only thread left for any sort of faction war in the future.

But no, really, I hope they don’t set her up to be the spark that sets off another war only to have her killed off. But I feel like that’s exactly what they’ll do.

Where even is Talanji? Blizzard does an absolute terrible job of representing horde leadership. They create these cool characters and then just keep them in the dark for eternity after their expansions are over.
And whose fault is that? Blizzard wrote him to be a loser to could get rid of him so BfA Faerin can take the throne.
The problem is they can’t bring Talanji back in the story yet because she’s the antithesis of the current story arc. She’s a true warmonger in an era of World of Peacecraft.
I, too, have been doing a lot of BoD runs for GMOD. A lot a lot. And given how much of my time he feels like wasting by yapping so much, I’m rather glad he’s dead.
