Not really a bad thing. One thing about classic is there is no rush. There are no time gates. I can play the way the game was intended meaning I can run around questing and leveling or do dungeons or PvP and so forth.
I have tried different servers PvE/PvP combinations. Deleted level 30 + toons, donated all my belongings and gold to random low level players just to try and settle down how I want my end game to be and type of server I like.
I love PvP to an extent though I pretty much suck at it. I just like to go wreck little areas and draw out the big guys/gals and just sit there stealthed lol’ing all the way.
I have never been much or raiding and dungeons as I play this more as a solo or teaming up with random peeps for quests.
There are many aspects to this game I enjoy and one is no time gates. No time frames. No care but just to play and have fun.
Time gates are one of the reasons I left retail long ago. I understand if you want certain things there is a grind of rep. I get that. Flipping the tables and saying - oh… you can’t have this unless you grind this or that for weeks on end. Flying is one of those. I came back to retail (only to get used to the mechanics waiting for Classic) and found out that I just don’t have the time to complete the various points to get flying. That’s just me.
The term casual is a loose term because everyone has their own definition. I may play 2 hours one day, six another and be away for a few days. Casual to me is someone who plays when they can and have fun doing it. That is what classic brings to me, a casual experience where I don’t have to be max level right away and can explore at my leisure.
Just my two cents

I agree that this is extremely annoying. I don’t mind having to grind out 50 K rep, but I want to be able to get it all done on weekends. I’m even OK with having a weekly cap. What I don’t like is being forced to grind all the rep through 5-10 quests that are only available once a day. Even 35-70 quests that I can do once a week wouldn’t be so bad. The knowledge that when you miss a day you’ve effectively lost progress towards your goal is not pleasant, and it makes the game feel like a daily chore rather than a pleasant past time.

“Chore” - that’s the word I was looking for.
I really enjoy certain professions and fishing is one of them. So in WOTLK the Kalu’ak Fishing Pole was something I that I didn’t mind grinding for with the rep. It is not a game changer but something I wanted. While doing the grinding I fished many fishing holes and BAM! I ended up with the Sea Turtle mount and was the envy of the guild mount collectors.
If it’s gear you want or certain toon appearances there are certain paths to get the gear/looks and I am good with that. There are certain things that just can’t be handed out in game, you have to earn it and you have to grind it. I just don’t think flying is one of those but again just my opinion.
I just love classic and glad Blizzard gave it to us. I think most complaints come from many who never experienced vanilla (though i came in at TBC). So many play the game today that has a big easy button for the most part unless. I have to actually think about each pull and not just go in there mashing two or three buttons.

hit 48 last week sometime. Blew through my rested. So I think it’s time to get an alt or 2 leveled a little bit.

Don’t worry chief I just hit 52 yesterday. I plan to hit 60 in my few weeks between semesters but I just have not had time during school. The feeling is mutual haha

I’m with you, and I’m not in a hurry at all to hit 60 on my guys.
Trying to do all the quests in an instance if possible, etc.
Really enjoying the wPvP.
Finishing questlines/zones even if grey to me this time.
I’m even fishing on everybody this go around.

I’m not 60 yet as well. There were evenings that I spent only travelling to Feralas to get to get my alchemy recipes by foot, or farming herbs. I wish I could do more world content though, because world PvP kinda shut it down when phase 2 hit. For this purpose I created an alt on a PvE server that I play sometimes.
I also play with my brother and we only try to level together and it’s generally on a weekend, so this also affected somewhat.
