Still no nightelf paladins?

Even after night elf npcs in legion? Warriors of elune are huge in nightelf lore, they use the light of elune to fight? Kind of lame shadowlands did not even have more race/class combos. I think a huge problem with the faction imbalance also has to do with the type of races/class combos.

Nope but Paladins are strictly Knights of the Silver Hand Human Paladins according to some…

I mean I agree it’d make sense in context.

Not all paladins are of the SIlver Hand. Dreanei are not, only humans and dwarves and some high elves. But In legion You see Night elf npcs become paladins .

Don’t get me wrong, I know and I fully agree. It’s just I was around when people were initially asking for Night elf Paladins in Legion and it was such a massive storm of hate and vitriol it left everyone involved bitter and jaded towards everything.

I mean people were adamantly and I mean adamantly against Zandalari having Paladins because they were the Knights of the game and tribal trolls had no right to be a Knight in shining armor if I remember the complaints right. Never mind that the Zandalari are some fo the biggest zealots who have great martial prowess so it seemed like a perfect match for Paladin.

In short, some folks have a very narrow sighted view of what classes are and will not allow themselves to see them as anything other then that view.

Yeah also Horde paladin races are a lot more pleasing than Human,Dwarf and Dreanei

Have you all ever watched Idiocracy? Because you’re the bottom tree of the guy that had the IQ of 84.

Remember when an NPC class changed from Priest to Paladin because “she wanted to do more with her life”.

Ouch.

After zandalari paladins is a shame that nelves can’t be paladins.

Not sure what the hell you are talking about?

Until Blizz decides screw what those people think and add in that race/class combos that they hate so much.

To be fair, Nelfs look absolutely terrible in plate sets. My warr looks like a kid wearing his parents clothes. Besides, why be a Nelf Bubble war when you could be a Dwarf one?

The desire to smash face with a large hammer in the name of Elune rather then smash face with a large hammer in the name of the Light?

They should be… but the devs threw the lore out a long time ago.

If Tauren Paladins are in the game, then why not Night Elf Paladins?

Because they worship the sun, apparently, which is theoretically a Naaru. Ignoring the fact that the sun isn’t the source of the Holy Light, and that night elves worshipping the moon would mean they technically worship a source of the Light - which is how the night elf priestesses get their powers.

I don’t know. Night elf paladins are less far-fetched than tauren paladins.

There is one Night Elf Paladin from the Class Campaign. One of the most interesting parts of the Paladin quest line IMO.

It opens the door for more, but Blizz is really reluctant to open more class options for existing races because they think they need to preserve racial identity through class availability. I don’t agree that’s the best way to do that and I’d open nearly all classes to all races, but sadly not my decision.

After 10k+ years there is a single night elf paladin. As with other class/race combos a single night elf paladin existing does not mean hundreds are going to start popping up out of no where.

Because different races are different. With different beliefs, cultural norms, and structure within their society.

I’m convinced much of the issue with how plate looks on Night Elves is their stance.

I’m hoping the character customizations that are being added with Shadowlands allows for different idle and battle stances

Dont all the Paladins get their power in different ways too? iirc Tauren Sunwalkers had something to do with druids/balance/moon powers so they were like “why cant we get power from the sun?”. And arent Blood Elves, Draenei and Zandalari Paladins all different in how they get their power too? Seems like Nelf Paladins can get their power the same way Tauren did and they can be Sunwalkers too. Hell at this point i’d be happy with Blizz saying that the source for a Gnome Paladins holy power are the batteries they have hidden in the hilt of their weapon. Or that Goblin Paladins “made a bargain” with a Naaru.

Then Tauren Paladins shouldn’t be a thing, because they are a different race, with different beliefs, cultural norms, and structure within their society.

So… if Tauren Paladins are a thing, why not Night Elf Paladins?

Nothing was stopping the Tauren from learning it, nothing is stopping night elves from learning how to be paladins aside from culture, society, and 10K+ years of beliefs. It’s also fine for some races to simply be unable to do somethings. It creates in game flavor.
