Honestly this expansion could have been a good time to have Arthas return but nope. Pretty much the rest of wow of making Arthas the lich king and etc was kind of pointless given the fact he didn’t achieve his goal of defending his people and kingdom.
Wait, no, come on. I hate Sylvanas as much as the next guy, but we’ve got to be consistent here.
If we’re gonna “hate” Sylvanas for everything she’s done, we can’t really call Arthas “best boy” for doing much of the same.

That’s kind of the point. Power corrupts and is ultimately vanity anyway. Have you not paid attention to every character win WoW? It’s all the same thing.

Best boy who started it all.
I mean you could always have Blizzard make him disenchant himself at the end of a random boss fight after spouting a cheesy line or two. Seems to be that the best way to have your character go these days is quietly on their own terms.
Better to die as enchanting mats than live long enough to be retconned.

The only human paladin that I’ll tolerate coming back from the dead is Tirion Fordring.
They did Garrosh dirty, I’m still so pissed off that cinematic. Like, why would you kamikaze yourself into the boss that is ALREADY DEAD.
Not disagreeing with the sentiment about calling Arthas the ‘best boy’, but I’d say Sylvanas’ arc has an awful twist, seeing how she pretty much retraced Arthas’ path after vilifying him for so long. And I can’t give her the benefit of ignorance.
Because they wanted to make it look like Hordies got some lore this expansion, when we don’t even have a realistic reason to show up in this one.
Fake Lich King wants us to kill ourselves to save Anduin… and I guess we did it because… reasons?

Why I like my idea wow needs a reoccurring bad guy in the same vein as the Joker. As decent people we should hate him. But the dude has personality. And enjoys his work. What will that whacky Joker do next? Lets turn the page and find out.

Nah. It’s 6D. Not even the in-game character get it.
They should both be forced to serve in the Maw for the rest of eternity. They can do it together. Team work makes the dream work.
