Title kinda says it all. Has it appeared in any NA BMAH at all since that shadowlands “hotfix”? This was the one gold sink mount that got me to start grinding out gold to buy it one day. Went on hiatus early BFA bc the expac was actually terrible and unfun for me coupled with irl things and came back late Shadowlands to be incredibly disappointed. I don’t mind paying the tax and having to get goldcap instead of 5 mil to buy it in BMAH but IT NEEDS TO APPEAR THERE FIRST.
It’s basically universally agreed that removing it at all from the original vendor was beyond scummy (queue the vocal minority that demand exclusivity for their token bruto), but the fact that they refuse to give us definitive answers about it’s seeming lack of appearances on BMAH now is honestly pathetic.
YOU opened the pandoras box of releasing an AH mount, accept that it exists and you’re not going to get rid of it. I want it because it’s an awesome looking mount and I’m a sucker for the big mounts (part of the reason I play Tauren). Whether Blizz thinks it was a mistake or not, it’s THEIR mistake and they can’t just bury it. It’s out there, even on my low pop server there’s multiple parked in Valdrakken at all days and asking in general will prob get you someone to sum it for you out in the world. It’s not going away. Please give the players a proper straight answer, stop lying and ignoring threads about it, literally all we’re asking is for it to just appear on BMAH like you said it would outside the containers.

i dont find not having it is too much of a disadvantage being an engineer with AHs all over the game.
But some say it IS advantage so to deny the rest of the base the SAME opportunity to buy it now is giving advantage to those who already have it.

Honestly I enjoyed my somewhat speedrun experience of Shadowlands and kinda regretted not being there for the full expac. I came back like a month before Dragonflight and leveled to cap, geared, and cleared all 3 SL raids for Kitty AND got the HC Jailer mount (granted I’ll admit that was through a free public carry a streamer was hosting bc it was 2 days before DF and I just didn’t have the time to clear through full HC for it myself by then)
but they should add another AH mount i just want the functionality and utility of it i also missed the long boi currently saved up just over 30mil i hope they add a proper gold sink in the game let me buy a trader/mailbox/craft orders npc to a modular mount
i would even argue that if they didnt add the AH mount because of X reason give gold makers a real gold sink.
gold is a core part of the game, flipping on the AH i find relaxing when i have done all the content for the week raid/mythic+ tmog runs ect, i normally just play the AH and when its late in the season all iv done is play the AH its relaxing and fun iv seen the same names reposting and bank alt characters, youtubers that make gold guides and even gold maker streamers
They improve open world content great.
They improve the raiding experience.
They give pvpers ranked solo shuffle.
They give m+ers a reason to go over 15.
All core aspects of the game.
They NEED to redesign/make a gold sink system.
IMO BMAH is a bad system that also needs a redesign, you have people out there that offer a services to insta gold cap any item that hits the BMAH on ANY server. In the short term they could just get rid of gold cap and the gold cap on the BMAH let people pay whatever. In the long term i would like to see a redesign.
This thread is about the Reigns of the Caravan Brutosaur mount that has a transmog vendor and an Auction House on it that originally sold for 5 million gold from a vendor in BFA but was removed end of expac on relatively short notice. Blizzard told us it would be moved to BMAH which it was. Then they released a “hotfix” for it during Shadowlands after which the Reigns haven’t appeared on a single NA BMAH ever since meaning there’s an extremely high chance Blizzard lied to everyone’s faces (as usual) and that it’s really only available as a 1/3000 chance from the unclaimed BMAH containers (and we probably don’t even have THAT confirmed unless anyone knows of people who have gotten it since from the container)
I think the answer has been resoundingly clear. Blizzard views the Brutosaur as a mistake, and would like to minimize the number of new ones introduced.
I mostly agree, I think making it a store mount would be really bad for the game because it in essence WAS a store mount for a good chunk of the people who got it from the original vendor in BFA because people were just dropping $500 on WoWtokens to sell for gold to buy it. I feel like if Blizz put it in the store they would purposely charge some obscene sum of money for it in cash since they know people were already willing to buying it for such sums originally
Putting it on the BMAH is minimizing new ones introduced, that’s fine. But 0 brutosaurs showing up on the BMAH across ALL NA SERVERS in the like 2 years since the “hotfix” that made it disappear is not minimizing it, it’s completely eliminating it and going against the promise they originally made when they told us it would be available that way. I don’t think I’ve even seen anyone confirm they have gotten it from the unclaimed BMAH container which is what that “hotfix” was SUPPOSED to be for (to add it to that drop table as well as being available as stand alone in BMAH). Blizz said it would be relegated to BMAH, Blizz lied about the hotfix being to also add it to Unclaimed Container, hotfix simply shadow removed it from BMAH entirely, devs now choose to ignore every single thread regarding this and all tickets about it either get nothingburger responses or straight up lies like “it’s still available” before they are closed. Fact is if an AH mount is gamebreaking and a mistake that gives players an unfair advantage in Blizzards eyes, they need to remove the mount entirely (or the AH from it) from everyone who has it. As it stands it’s a “mistake and unfair advantage” that a small group of players have access to and are allowed to keep benefitting from, that no one else has the possibility of obtaining. This is comparable to if the Olympics went "yeah if you were a steroid user before the rules against steroids came out, we’re gonna grandfather you in and let you keep using steroids. If it’s as broken and unfair as Blizz claims, either EVERYONE needs to continue to have access to it, or NO ONE not making it an exclusive boon for the few that got it before it was shadow removed
No, the vast majority of people I have personally talked to and seen with the bruto mount who DIDN’T just wowtoken it couldn’t give less of a crap if it were brought back to the original vendor or put on BMAH. It’s mostly the people with token brutos that have a superiority complex over their mount in my personal experience.
I have the TCG Chicken mount which is rarer than bruto will ever be, paid $250 for an unscratched card back in WoD and it’s like 10x that price now. I couldn’t care less if I logged in tomorrow to an event where a Colonel Sanders NPC personally gave one to every single player. It’s pixels on a screen, doubly so for the bruto which isn’t even an “investment mount” that can be traded and sold in-game or irl. You paid an NPC for it in BFA, or you paid an NPC for it via BMAH. “Actual” value in the game? 0. Amount of inflation in the economy reduced when 90% of the people that buy it have 10x the goldcap on their acc? 0.
I just want a big green dinosaur because I like big green dinosaurs. Even if it were always available at 10 mil the majority of the playerbase still wouldn’t be able to afford one in a decade regardless of inflation
It’s going to be wild the day they add it to the trading post. Part of me actually hopes they create a new AH mount that’s smaller, since giving everyone the Brutosaur means hundreds of those massive eyesores blocking everything.
Even better idea-- take the repair vendor off the yak and replace it with an auctioneer. Give players a reason to buy/use the traveler’s tundra mammoth.
The damned things are a nuisance. Idiots park them on mailboxes and quest givers, not to mention feeling the need to express themselves by sitting on them around the Community Feast pot. Blizzard should have known this would happen and we sure don’t need more of them! They should either shrink them or make them extinct.
There’s many large mounts that can be done with, the only reason people do it more often with Brutosaur is bc they can be a nuisance while also being able to access both AH and Mailbox at the same time. Besides worst case scenario you could always use or ask for someone else to use a mailbox toy! Annoying issue for sure, but there’s solutions at the very least
