Blizz says they are nerfing Destro and Surv for S4, and “reserve the ability to further adjust other outlier specs”.
Obviously WW is the next largest outlier so most people expect it to get hit.
Gonna stick with WW for S4 if so? Looking around it seems like Rogue will be the go-to melee for S4 as Outlaw and Sub both are really pumping, have easier rotations, and bring shroud (no Wo in S4).
I don’t see why anyone would nerf WW. WW does exactly one thing well, and everything else is pretty mediocre.
If it’s nerfed, it’s unplayable. If it’s buffed, it’ll get the SV treatment.
Destro and SV are no different in that regard.
So Destro and SV can’t top the charts in ST or be useful in utility while also being the kings of AOE?
Last I checked, WW shouldn’t be topping any chart that isn’t AOE, so unless something drastically changed in the last month, WW is still an AOE king with nothing else going for it besides ring & para.
Destro and SV don’t top ST charts, in fact, both classes have specs that perform better at ST (Demo and BM).
Destro is most certainly topping ST meters in both raid and m+. Destro can also just swap to demonology if they get nerfed and continue to top the ST meters. As for survival, survival hunter ST damage is better than WW’s and they have 2 other dps specs they can swap to depending on spec balancing going into S4.
Destro dead last in ST raid right now.

You notice how when you start looking at bosses that allow destro to stand still and burn 1-2 targets, the Destro seems to be on top of every single fight along with Demo.
It’s really crazy what happens when you don’t look at Heroics logs, because they’re irrelevant, and actually look at fights that aren’t hard coded to be a hard boss to do good damage with as a hard cast spec, rather than specs that can damage on the go due to mobility issues.

Let’s just add a bit more to that list;
Vigilant Guardian, Dausegne, Prototype, Lihuvim, Anduin, Rygelon, Jailer. So out of an entire raid, only 3 fights does WW beat Destro in any damage, the rest it gets slaughtered in.
And oddly enough, those fights are all a mix of ST & Multi target fights. The only fights destro is struggling in compared to WW are ones where they have to move a great deal.
It’s like common sense and using your eyes here really shows you how bad WW is compared to Destro. But hey, they’re not #1 according to you.
Can you guys just swap to Damage To Boss instead of generic damage?

I believe we call this bias.
3/11 fights destro isn’t #1 therefore WW is clearly superior and Destro is in fact the worst spec in the game. And 2/3 of those fights are Destros weakness in movement fights, and 1 of those is just an AOE mess that WW just outshines destro in.
Meanwhile 8/11 fights Destro is top 3 at worst.

WW isnt in the same ballpark as destro and survival.
With how slow balance changes roll out it’s really doubtful that any other classes will be touched. Especially in the last shortened season before a new expansion. WW should be safe in their AOE dominance.
Rylegon is a pseudo ST fight. In fact, it’s a patchwerk fight.
Lords are borderline ST, a fight where both specs excel due to the nature of the fight.
Anduin is borderline ST for the majority of the fight.
Dausegne is basically a ST fight.
Like idk how you can be this dull and say “I lniked ST fights” and completely ignore fights and pick only fights where WW excels due to mobility problems that destro faces in those fights
Oh wow, it’s almost like movement is terrible for destro. Weird! I wonder how destro damage to bosses stacks up on fights like the jailer, rygelon, and dausenge?
Further, I wonder how (as another person suggested in this very thread whom you completely ignored) does destro do when you filter logs exclusively for boss damage?
Definitely wouldn’t be top 5 or anything.
