Still cant pick a main, need help

Im torn like right down the middle, 50/50 between warrior or priest for SL and just can’t decide. I know for sure im going to have one as my main, and the other my alt for the xpac but just can’t figure out which one for main.

I would love some reasons for one or the other to solidify my decision so im turning to all of you beautiful, wonderful, amazing, intelligent, sophisticated denziens of Azeroth for help.

Some things to know:

-I find both very very very fun, so “just pick which ever is fun” won’t help me.
-My raid team comp will support either choice, and they dont care which one I play.
-I enjoy pvp, m+, and raids, but will spent most of my time in m+ and raids, and pvp is sort of a side project, but I still wanna have fun there when I do it.
-I do feel bad if my dps isnt on par with other people, even though im putting in maximum effort.
-I do not mind healing on the priest, but I have no interest in tanking.

Any reason for one over the other will be considered and I really really appreciate any input you have to help me with this!

If you have no interest in tanking, then pick Priest. It gives you the option to play a different role. The only issue you may run into, is that there is going to be a LOT of Spriests due to how well they are doing. That usually leads to a nerf bat swinging somewhere after the first raid.

I would also say that Warrior has not changed drastically this expac. So if you played a lot of warrior in BfA then it could end up feeling a little stale. Spriests got a rework on their kit, so they feel new.

Also look at which covenants are performing well for warriors and which are performing well for priests. See if you like those options.

My vote for what you are looking to do is Priest.

There is so much lack of flavor in each class that I will be surprised that you find a single class to main.

Warrior will be Venthyr and Priest will be Kyrian. Im happy with both of those.

I’ve never mained warrior or priest before, so both are new to me.

Good point! Priest may give me some diversity so its not just dps all the time. Holy and Disc both were fun and engaging to me.

Thanks for the input!

I disagree, but I hope you find something that’s flavorful for you. I think demo lock has tons of “flavor”, as well as unholy dk.

I agree with this. Warrior at least from what I heard was in a bad spot dps wise. Spriest on the other hand is really good. That along with the fact that you like the healing specs as well imo means you should pick priest. I mained warrior in bfa myself and it did get stale after a while I’m not gonna lie. I like my cool magic effects and stuff though so you might be diff.

Go hunter, you know you want to and they are the flavor of the month right now. Everyone has hunters everywhere.

Easy choice OP, they nerfed Shadow priest super hard yesterday so if you want to DPS play warrior, if you want to heal at all then you have to go priest, quite simply really.

Oh man, I hate that you got to that point. It sounds like a case of burn out. Maybe it will change and go in a direction youre looking for at some point. I wish you the absolute best in your gaming ventures.

Those are some good points.

So I suppose what I should be deciding if healing is worth the risk of having only one dps spec, as opposed to warrior which has two that if one is nerfed hard the other is still an option.

Yea, expect shadow to not be taken in any meaningful content over warrior for a DPS slot unless ranged is specifically needed for a fight. So if you’re not making a healing spec there’s really no point in playing a priest imo, warrior is also looking pretty good in the raid testing for the new raid.

Thanks for replying friend! Do you know how the two are shaping up for m+ as well by chance?
