Sticking to ElvUI, or swapping to Bliz's new UI

Tough choice for me. I love the bigger bars and customizations with ElvUI, but I’m starting to lean towards less memory consumption for addons.

Anyone else still pondering this decision?

im keeping elvui because you can change castbar color on it.

the new blizz ui is bare bones

ElvUI + Plater offers a lot more than blizz UI… im glad they gave people options tho

I’ve been using Blizzard’s default UI since 2009. I have tried other UIs, but I’ve always stuck with that one.

I just used Bartender and the new version of MoveAnything.

I enjoyed the new UI during beta and PTR, but the only thing holding me back from full adoption is the color change options + the size of the unit bars.

color, font, size of font… there is sooooo much you can do with ElvUI…

I think the new UI is great, but for me personally it doesn’t go far enough, so I’m currently deciding between elv ui + plater, or a mix of other addons (including plater).

I had hoped to ditch elv because I really do want to reduce the addon memory usage and my load screens, but if i have to use 15 addons to get stuff the way I want it…

I don’t know what dev designed those default unit bars but they should probably not be responsible for designing unit bars. they’re awful.

ill most likely keep the ui of the stuff like the panels for blizz but all the rest im keeping elvui

A mix of both Blizz’s new UI is great but still missing some things. Once they further refine it I may drop ELVui completely. But as of now both

Elvui gives you what you put into it. Im still learning new tricks and effects with it even after years of using it. Plus, coupling it with its external packs like MMedia, or Benek etc make it infinitely better than the core UI.

The default UI is for people who don’t want to put effort into learning Elvui’s potential, which literally takes hours of tinkering.

it took me 4 hours to get it just right and been using the same since 2018

my favorite feature though is ofc being able to make castbars on enemies green for interrupt, red for uninterruptable

“They’re the same picture.”

Stick with my dominos, masque, ShadowUF, and sexymap. Took me literal days to get it just right and I’m not swapping

after playing with the beta for a while I’ll be using the new ui after I change a lot of things

I never liked ElvUI personally, but I am dropping Dominos and Bagnon in favor of the new UI setup.

I think I’m going to do this myself. ElvUI is great I like how I can separate the chat boxes so i don’t lose things because it’s all in one. but I can manage without it if it’s easier to deal with on the new Bliz UI. I’ll give it an honest to goodness go and see what happens.

Never even used ElvUI lmao…

Elvui easy.

Blizzard is late to the party when it comes to UI customization.
