I am unable to continue with the Step into the Life story quest. After clearing the Emerald Dreamway area by getting 100% and placing the 3 anchors. I went through the portal and I am suppose to talk to Ysera, I see Ysera and Merithra but it won’t let me advance the quest. From youtube videos, i should have been phased into a different instance where a cutscene plays out. However that is not happening and I have attempted this quest twice now.

Can confirm same bug here, this is likely a layering/phasing issue since the area is prioritizing the raid(?) entrance at the area.

same issue… no luck on retrying quest, ysera is just chilling in the Ancient Bough. Can talk to her, replay the cutscene, but nothing else.
Same here… the new entrance to the dream seems to have phased me out. Same thing happened with a quest in Thal that cant be done because of the time rifts. Once they put time rifts in, it blocked completion of the quests. It would be nice to have a bronze dragon there to go back to another phase/time like other areas. Wish they would think about how new content affects older content when they add it. Glad I at least completed it on my main.
EDIT: So I went inside and did the first few quests inside the dream (up to where you fly through the rings, then go talk to Cenarius) then I went back out through the portal. When I went to the other side, I was in the correct phase for this quest.

Same problem. A couple people and I can’t seem to get it to work. Put in a ticket yesterday, so I’ll let you know next week when Blizzard gets back to me and just asks if I looked at WoW Head.
Anybody find a fix for this? I am unable to complete and progress further with this. I have turned warmode on and off to see if layering will fix it and nothing yet.
Came here hoping for a clue on how to continue on to the quest Thin the Veil on an alt I was trying to finish the main side quests on. I came out of the portal from the Emerald Dream portion of the chain only to see a bunch of players standing around with the NPCs, Gerithus in the distance still encased in ice, and Ysera in elf form off to the side with the quest turn in marker over her head. Was able to turn in the quest Step into the Life, but unable to continue from there. Looks like I’m not the only one having issues, but it’s disheartening because now I know I can’t currently finish The Dreamer quest chain. Replying to this thread so that it’s in my queue in hopes of an update to this issue.

Well, looks like they fixed it, I assume with one of the many maintenance updates over the last coupe of days. I exited the Emerald Dream via the portal to go turn in the weekly Aide quest on my hunter and was met with Ysera in dragon form attacking primalists with all these frozen ice cubes all around. She had Thin the Veil and Our Full Strength available for pickup. Hope it’s working for everyone else too now.
You have to have finished the “New
Beginnings” questline before Ysera returns to Ardenwield and you can complete this quest
So, yes this quest “Step Into Life” will be roadblocked by the “New Beginnings” quest line. Ysera won’t be in two places at once. Most likely you are on the step in that quest to go and speak with the Centaur. Simply follow that quest chain to the end, then Ysera will show up at the correct location for Step Into Life.
