Recently started fishing for Stendel’s Bane in hopes of obtaining a Stendel’s Wedding Band. I haven’t been keeping track of the casts, but based off of what items I’ve obtained, it’s well over 2000 now. 17 Stendel’s Bane later, I’ve still yet to have the ring drop. Am I just getting unlucky, or is it possible the ring was removed?
According to the data I’ve seen to estimate the droprate, (~10% from the bag according to wowhead), you’ve had about an 85% chance of seeing the item.
So it being obtainable and you having not seen it by sheer bad luck is entirely plausible at this point.
Yeah. At this point today I’m at 30 Stendel’s Bane with no drop. Brutal bad luck
Why do you want that item?
Purely for roleplay purposes. I have a story bit I want it for, but I’d rather get it now than get to the point where the item comes up and then go farm for it

That makes more sense than using it to gear up a leveler.
Just debating if it’s still possible to get due to the sheer number of Stendel’s Banes I’ve obtained and not gotten the drop
Absolutely. Statistically that’s called a long tail. One could calculate the probability that someone would reach that point without having gotten that, but it’s been many years since I took statistics.
Far off reply, but I did eventually obtain one after a while more of grinding. Had later gone back to attempt a second time and obtained a second within a half hour. The first took me about 24 hours of exclusively fishing
