…yet.
Mechanical switches on that mouse. I don’t trust any manufacturer’s mechanical switches anymore. Too many double click issues.
I’ve actually never run into any double click issues on the Aerox 9 in the over 2 years I’ve been using it, which is an issue I had on the G600…
Honestly, if it weren’t for the side buttons dying so easily, the mouse would be pretty great. For the price, I shouldn’t have to RMA or replace it yearly due to this issue.
Yeah, it’s razer that’s the worst offender with double clicks.
Can confirm, it’s the side buttons that need a little more force to register after the mouse has been worn down for a year+, the regular L+R buttons never had double click issues. I had to replace my first aerox9 due to battery issues and the mouse just giving up electrically.
God, SAME. I’m glad mine still currently works - my first one lasted me almost a decade before heavy use saw it die out on me. The G600 just fits my Sasquatch hands better, and I’m too used to the G-shift button now to go back
I’m still bitter after the whole g502 lightspeed issues where they double clicked in literal hours. Replacements too. I was just out money because I couldn’t get a working one.
And as far as the switches go I ended up on a razer naga pro for that reason. It uses optical switches, and the side panel is removable for cleaning which seems to stop most of the side button problems. I have had the one key die on one side panel but otherwise pretty solid for a few years now. I’ve ran through 2 since they were released. I do a pretty heavy duty cycle on them with me using it for work and play.
All of these hyper expensive mice are basically consumables at this point because basically none of them actually last anywhere near their ratings for buttons. It’s a bit frustrating.
I’ve had a few razer naga mouses and they always seem to fail about the 1 year mark. I switched to Logitech g600 MMO mouse. I had it for about 7 years. Just recently started having some small issues with the right click and bought a new one. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore but u can still find refurbished ones on Amazon and other sites. Best mouse ive ever owned. I haven’t tried the steel series though. They seem a bit over priced but again don’t know how good they are.
Incredibly fast with intense use. I do not recommend, personally.
Is it an MMO Mouse / 12 button side panel thing?
Because MMOs have become less and less relevant over the last decade.
No matter how popular the mouse might be among MMO players, it’s almost definitely not for any other group. They probably weren’t seeing good sales numbers on it.
Especially when people (even in this thread) hold on to them for a decade before replacing them.
