I understand the tie-in with putting special items behind product purchases. Buy a sandwich at a restaurant, get a code for a weapon. Buy the collectors edition of “X” game and you get a mount.
Most of the time there is an increased dollar amount associated with the product and I haven’t been too happy about it in the past. But now…
Blizzard is partnering with Steel Series on a World of Warcraft mouse. Purchase of the mouse gives you “Lil’ Flameo” the battle pet. As a collector of pets, I of course want one.
The cost for the mouse and the pet… $160.
I’ll just leave that here…

Does Blizz get a commission on this or something?
I can only hope there will be a way to get this lil guy in the future from elsewhere… I don’t really need a new mouse and not for that price XD

I’d like to say that I purchased the previous steel series world of warcraft edition mouse. Saying that its a piece of sh!t, is a complete understatement. All of the friction pad on the bottom fell off, the rubber that they used for the grip feels sticky to the touch. There is macro buttons on the side but they didnt bother making the software to let you change anything. I use a razer naga trinity now, and I would never ever use a steel series again.

That’s way too much money for a mouse. I spent $30 on a Reddragon mouse that does the same stuff that one does.
