Since Blizz has reneged on giving Paladins a real mobility talent, again, we still need something to counter knockbacks. I don’t think BoF would be a good target for this because it already has a niche and I also don’t want it to get nerfed again.
Every other melee has a tool to deal with knockbacks and if Paladins are not getting WoL, they still need something in their kit to deal with such mechanics.
The best solution given the current design would be to make Seasoned Warhorse a choice node that alternatively allows the Paladin to double jump once, when DS is active, to either blink forward a short distance or hop forward (like Shaman’s Gust of Wind).
A hop forward makes sense for a Warhorse and a short blink is still on brand for a class that weaponizes the light, so thematically we’re covered.
This would counter push/pull mechanics and be a choice against having a longer steed that covers more ground.
Bonus points to Blizz if they add a Speed of Light glyph to replace steed. With the glyph, the pally would use the blink and without the glyph, the horse would use the hop animation.
