I’ve been trying to delete my Steam account, because they have been just deleting my support tickets and I’m tired of it, and then they deleted my account deletion request.
I posted about it in the forums there, and all of the shills came out to blame everyone but Steam; it was “hijackers”, my fault, or something else, but not Steam.
Anyway, a few minutes ago, the deleted tickets just reappeared, but the dates are out of order lol. Now suddenly the shills are saying, “oh, some features were down…”
Right…
Anyway. I thought that was funny. I hope others find it funny too.
Update
Now, Steam blocked me from the forums and is deleting my posts with the pictures showing my tickets disappeared and reappeared.
I’m not sure why they don’t just delete my account and do us both a favor.

Probably has something to do with legal and user licensing of the games so “deleting” your account may not be possible. Why not just delete STEAM?

It’s what I do. When I feel like a game is to the point of harassing its own customers, I delete all of my characters, so I’ll never go back.
With Steam, it’s the same principle. Their moderators are outright and blatantly harassing people. I’ve been banned for writing, “Lizzo is beautiful”, no joke. Another time, I was banned for my thread due to “could cause arguments”. In fact, every time I’ve been banned, it’s never been something that is against the rules.
Like I said, I just got banned for my posts about them deleting my tickets. It’s insane.
I won’t be surprised if someone there ends up leaking something internal showing they’ve been abusive, similar to what happened with old Twitter’s “Twitter Files”.

I would imagine it would be a hella lot harder if you’ve spent a ton of money on Steam tho. While not the only place to get PC games, it’s pretty much the defacto place to get PC games.
That said…
Yeah, both are stupid reasons to ban somebody. I agree. I have a feeling Steam forums is like Reddit in some places and that’s not a great sign.

It’s a level 62 account. I don’t care. Realistically, of the almost 300 games I have there, I really just play the same 4, all which I can buy again on a deep discount. Three of them, X4, Star Valor, and Generation Zero, are affordable small/solo dev games anyway.
What it comes down to is I’m not going to support a company whose support and moderators actively harass me. That doesn’t even make any sense to me.
It reminds me of Eve Online. I played that game from the beginning until 2015. After it was revealed that the devs played the game too and got caught giving their “Corporations” (guilds) boosts, and then they started allowing PvPers to harass PvEers, aka carebears (like me); I deleted all of my 10+ year old characters and uninstalled.
I have had zero regrets. In fact, there was satisfaction when I got an auto email years later from the company asking me to come back.
Almost 300 games?
Yeah for me at that point, that’s an impossible decision for me to make.
And if i were, i would just take up being a full time pirate.

Why is ignoring your steam account not an option? I know I have tons of long unused accounts out there with expired CC’s and I don’t give them a moment of thought.

you’re throwing a tantrum and wanting to delete your steam account because you got slapped in the discussion forums for posting weird trollbait?
uhhh, ok.
Nope.
I’m deleting my Steam account because the moderators and support were objectively harassing me. I made sure to take screen shots, so I can write a funny post on X where I can post the screens too.
Scroll up for details.
For an update, the account is finally scheduled for deletion. Only about 2 weeks left.
