Steam Deck?

I’ve been seeing some pretty interesting videos on youtube of players using the steam deck. I’ve even seen a Prot Warrior doing +16 keys on it.

Has anyone here been using the Stream Deck outside of just some casual content? I primarily enjoy healing and tanking, so I’d be interested in anyone that is able to do mythic plus on their deck.

If so, what specs have you found to be good for this? Is it a big pain in the butt to get your addons and UI set up?

I was thinking that protection pally would be a good candidate:

  • no targeted area spells
  • simple rotation
  • few buttons

However I’m not sure how I would Word of Glory, Sac, LoH, etc my team mates. Can you set up macros or click casting so that I can just tap on their frame with my finger or something?

I’ve mostly been using mine for casual content, but have dove into a few instances and even raid with it before.

It’s all about how you set it up and can function using a controller. If you can manage that, then your fine. Yeah there is the option to hook up a mouse and keyboard to it, but what fun is that?!

Set up is pretty easy. Pretty much how you would do it on a Windows PC. I used a mouse and keyboard to get all the addons and such installed. After that, I just do my daily updates and play on the go.

Did you play DPS on it?

Yes. This character mostly. Though I’ve been leveling alts lately.

My response times are a bit slower but I’m still pulling about 90% of my normal DPS.
