I’m just getting started trying to gear my rogue through RBGs / PVP and I’m having some minor issues figuring out the most efficient use of my stealth abilities.
My main issue is knowing what to carry over from my main bar to my stealth bar and when I should stack abilities and not (example having cheap shot bound to Shift+W on my stealth bar but Sepsis as shift + w on my normal bar, and kidney shot as R key on my main bar but rupture on my stealth bar.
Which leads me into my next question which abilities can I take off my dance / stealth bar that should never be used? Mainly wondering about Kidney. Should I only be cheap shotting to stun in dance / or do u I need to be using KS also?
This may sound confusing but I hope someone knows what I’m trying to ask. Basically there’s just some awkward overlap between my normal bar and my dance / stealth bar. If I bind a skill to my main bar that I don’t need during dance what’s best way to setup dance bar?
What does your stealth bar include ?
the cool thing about rogue is almost all of you abilities are useful in steath/shadow dance as well as unstealthed.
about the only ones you can’t use on both are sap, pickpocket, cheapshot, shroud, and like any trinket that would knock you out.
there’s tons of time you can use a mark for death/kidney to open from steath or use kidney during shadow dance.
the main thing is to have your backstab and shadowstrike on the same button.
I only have Backstab and SS bound to the same key, everything else has it’s own assignment.
Yup, its a good thing to have the main builder bound to the same key.
For Sin it would be Ambush and Mutilate
For Sub, Shadowstrike and Backstab
For Outlaw, Ambush and Sinister Strike
Incase youre running Blindside on Sin i recommend using a modification Macro, but it will require you to pay attention to the Visual Clue of the proc, but its easy to see.

Yea I have backstab and shadowstrike both on my E key which is my main attack key. I mostly was having issues stacking kidney shot and cheap shot bc I would keep hitting the wrong one but I just wiped my bars completely and started over and got rid of some spells I’ll never use (black powder, moved slice and dice off main bar bc I’ll only ever use that if I’m at range and have extra combo points and need to proc my recuperator conduit so that was able to free up 2 spots where I basically put kidney as W and shift W on my main bar and on my stealth bar W is cheap shot and kidney is shift +W so I’ll always have a stun ready when needed.

Terrible idea then, you should have 100% uptime on that, since not only increases your attack speed it also increases Combo Point generation due to the Passive of Sub
One of my sub keybind solutions was to eliminate the stealth bar altogether. Any actionbar addon can achieve this. I found it much easier to have access to all skills at all times. For me it took away any extra thinking and consideration about keybinds. Everything else just fell into place from there.
I use alot of mod macros. Like Finishers are Evis-4, Shift-4 for Rupture. Plus if you make stance macros your stuff will change based on if you are in stealth or SD or regular combat.
I actually did something similar with the default UI. I use actionbar2 instead of actionbar1.
I would say you should keep KS on your stealth bar especially, it lasts longer than CS.
My stealth bar has CS, SS, Evis, CoS, with shift mod it also has KS, Rupture, Shiv, Escape Artist. Plus I have lots of stuff that is available all the time.
