do you realize they build those to be 85% addons to sucker bad players / new players / and suckers into using it so that the areas the designers want to play are clear and free of the users they sell the addon to.

I have long suspected a lot of the tips that guides give are like that. Fake tips to make certain things easier for the guide maker because the masses all follow it. For example, so many guides say to take Tailoring to be able to make bags at the start.
Like come on, they cost 5 silver from the vendor. Do something else like skinning, then take the money you make and buy the bags. So you can make bags for a meager profit for like 30 minutes before the price crashes to vendor price.

Makes sense. Like the gold farming guides that turn people away from the good spots.
Yup things like making bags creates artificial demand for cloth that would not normally exist. This makes selling cloth on the AH more profitable.
Also makes bags cheap, and creates demand for GOLD SELLERS.
I STRONGLY suspect that a lot of these things are built to prop up gold sellers.

I dunno, I thought the drop rates for Westfall stew was bad… but then I did the quest in Loch Modan where you need trogg ears. It was then that I knew pain.
