A returning player wanting to get some old achievements I missed in the past and I’ve been trying to get the “Stay Chill” Achievement for the Glory of the Cataclysm raider, and I can’t, believe that after what?- 7 years this bug is still not fixed and this achievement is impossible to do. If someone has a workaround that works in Dragonflight let me know as I’ve tried everything I can think of and I’ve come up with no solutions online that work.
For those unfamiliar with the Achievement you need to down 3 bosses when you have 7 stacks of chilled wind on you, however, the boss that dishes out said stacks only gives you one stack every 30 seconds, and the stacks only last 35 seconds - already a big problem there - and the bosses will heal themselves back up to full health after roughly 1-2 minutes. Meaning it’s almost mathematically impossible to do this, and adding more players changes nothing. This achievement would be possible if Nezir dished out the stacks faster, or the stacks lasted longer or the bridge that connected the three bosses was always accessible and didn’t have a timer.
I’m extremely frustrated, and I’ve been at this for at least 3 hours and so far the only plausible workaround is to use a second account/another player who can effectively do all the work then drop party and leave the instance within 5-8 seconds of downing the bosses; which is still incredibly challenging as those damn bridges aren’t always active. I’ve tried doing it with another player but Nezir just doesn’t dish out the stacks fast enough to make this doable. I beg you blizzard please either A. Increase the duration of the stack, and/or B. Increase how quickly the stacks are dished out.
Anyways rant aside does anyone have a workaround cause I’m doubtful blizzard will EVER fix this achievement.
