Ok it’s very possible WoW just leaked into my dreams again, but in being unable to word a search effectively… did I imagine it or did they announce a forthcoming speed buff to static (old) flight? Like, not so much to match “sky riding” but maybe to make it less “tricycle next to a sports car,” perhaps?
I like both, I use both, I’m just trying to remember where I read this, if at all!

I haven’t seen anything that suggests they are increasing static flight speed, nor do I think they should.
I heard somewhere, I don’t have a source, that it was being buffed to 420% speed. Or is that what it’s at now?
I think so? I’ve long since uninstalled the addon that tells me the percentage speed I’m at so I can’t remember!
I believe a new enchant was datamined for TWW that included a mounted speed bonus. No idea if that applies to flight speed or not. That’s the only thing I’ve heard. And it’s datamined alpha material, in any event.
It’s already 420% (for DK and Paladin at any rate). Some people think it’s being buffed because they don’t understand or forget that mount speed isn’t increasing you to 310% movement, it’s increasing you by 310% so they see 410/20 on their character sheet and get confused. Your base speed is 100%, so Master Flight comes out to 410% total, 420% with certain talents or traits or whatever. Always been like that, and would have to be, otherwise OG ground riding would be slower than just walking.
