Static Discharge has failed

Change it to a talent that allows you to put lightning shield on an ally.

How would that at all make it competitive with literally not talenting on that row

Quite a few talents that make me wonder why

i just want to put lightning shield on the tank in M+ and get maelstrom generation from it thought it would be super fun. Damage upon hit effects are strong for tanks so it would be cool to have a long term buff to put on a tank that they would appreciate. If you were playing echoes of the great sundering and it was fortified week it might be better for you to run that talent for improved maelstrom generation so you can get more earth shock quake combos off

Have it so you can cast it on a ally and when struck it will discharge some of the dmg back as a aoe instead of granting mael to the shaman? Almost like a chain lightning.

Make 2 lava charges baseline, or else that whole row just becomes obsolete (ok, or super niche if you’re in a situation where you don’t lava burst at all such as huge pure aoe or end of bfa storm ele memes)

But yeah static discharge was a pure throwaway filler talent.

Imo they should replace it with a passive talent that makes you passively gain some Maelstrom, similar to Nature’s Balance that druids have. That or a talent which reduces the Maelstrom needed for Earth Shock/Quake by 10, something to make things flow faster.

The intent of static charge was to create a quick talent that will never be viable so that they never have to look at it again.

From blizzards point of view it’s been a success not a failure

I actually love the idea of putting lightning shield on an ally!! Thats sounds amazing pls do it blizzard!!

This has been the answer for something like eight bloody years at this point but for whatever reason blizz won’t do it.
