So boys when you think things will get better let’s reflect on where we are.
I did first ST run today and was amazed to see prot paladin with 1 hand doing more damage then me on trash and about 20% less on bosses. This is what happens when all dps now revolves entire around som procs and exorcism prot paladins get full benefits from same runes.
Our BIS weapon is still meme pummeler and our dps spec is still bottom while being bugged. While enhance shams are top 3 again. No class turning what so ever.
No clas fantasy what so ever.
Most amazing part is that epic sword from ZF while being worse then pummeler that kind stat wise made for us is unobtainable because no one needs to run ZF now thanks to incursions.
Can someone tell me maybe I am stupid is there any class in the game that has 5 runes designed to evolve around a single ability?
And also can someone explain to me why we can’t just play normal 2h sword without this meme som.
They say season of discovery is balanced around fun. Shaman have fun. Priests have fun. We just serve people bufs every 10 mins.

would the number being bigger make it more fun somehow?
It just feels like a class identity crisis. Can’t do real dps, cant do real support, can tank semi ok. Pushing meme specs, builds, gear and runes that just are lack luster.
Sure pvp is ok bc of the utility, but thats about it.

cant all be on the favored factions and have season of shamans where the class can get nerfed then have them all cry about it on forums like its the end of the game and yet they are still op.
The Wrath Head Rune is currently bugged.
The Vengeance Talent says it works on attacks and spells.
But Consecration Crits do not reset the Vengeance Buff.
We might do more damage once they fix that but we also might be do for a buff.

Fast 2h Ret = Bad
Slow 2h Ret = Very Bad.

I legit cant complain about my ret dps aside wrath rune not making consacration procs vengeance.

Yea rets only do decent dps if they keep p2 weapon i am not even after any epic weapon in the raid again!!!
Like if this is all they can come up with where is the epic version of the pummeler for the paladins in the raid.
You can’t design a warp upgrade and put it in the raid is that insane to ask for that??
It’s not a bug. Blizzard is really that incompetent and don’t understand the Paladin class or itemization.
It has to be a bug/oversight. The Vengeance Talent literally says it works off of spells. Consecration is a spell that just gained the ability to crit from the Wrath Rune.
Blizzard simply forgot to make it proc Vengeance.

Paladins need to be fixed. How to fix Paladins?
#1 Make divine storm holy damage IE ignore armor and make it also scale with sp.
#2 Alternatively give them ACP in the form of an item such as catnip like druids got.
Done. Ret is now viable.
I’m not sure it’ll fix anything.
Oh, that and being played by idiots are their only 2 constant.
Which is why the majority of the Alliance would just love seeing those imbeciles gone anytime now.

Keep in mind prot pumps pretty hard during trash pulls due to all of the AoE and reflect damage. I do agree through, paladins are far too exorcism/holy shock-based right now. Wish Exorcist and Crusader Strike were baseline at least.
