Tanking a dual-wield Algalon with a Blood DK wasn’t easy task, healers literally called themselves heart doctors beacuse DKs would literally implode. Warriors were just fine with mitigation, just didn’t have a cheat death or low time cds.

But once you switch to Frost you suddenly are not that much of a unpredictable sponge.

But when they changed the DK Meta to be a icy touch spam and Death Strike, you can suddenly get the best talents of blood / frost and become a solid tank. It happened only in 3.3.3 (long after ICC release).

Wow, crazy then how we’re gonna be playing on 3.3.5. No one cares how tank balance was on other patches because we’re not gonna be playing other patches.

Also, no tank struggled for threat, warriors could simply put Vigilance on their OT and stay ahead of everyone. And again, with latest patch, threat is more than fine to every tanking class.

Maybe in 2008 no tank struggled, but I promise you that in 2022, prot warrior and feral druid threat isn’t going to be enough.
